I hope that this thread will help those who are new to the rep game. You take a chance every time you get in your car and pull out of the drive way. Nothing in life is guaranteed to make everyone happy, and true happiness is in your own hands, not that of others.

Kinda like if you stick your tongue on an aluminum flagpole when the air temperature is below freezing.

You have to take responsibility for your actions. Particularly when somebody told you what the terms are before you do it, you move ahead and realize a problem.

If your tongue gets stuck, don't sue the owner of the flagpole. When you are free to go, leave quietly and respectfully. Learn from the experience.

Might we lock this darn thing up now?

what a thread... what i seem to not understand is everybody who buys off d4m knows that it comes straight from the factory with no QC. isnt that the trade off? we risk the possibility of getting a faulty watch for a great price. i know this problem is already done with and i cannot believe d4m actually refunded the guy, especially after making this more public by posting the problem on another site! d4m is not meant to have this much attention. hes an underground rwi dealer and clearly wants to keep it that way.

as a frequent buyer off the internet i find it the buyers fault for not researching enough. he impulse bought on a great deal and is whining about. if i wasnt happy with the product i would have sold it and been on my way. there are soooo many horror stories on rwi about QC issues from the factory that its common knowledge in the rep world. i dont know... im sorry d4m.

If the OP wants I can point him to a great seller on dhgate that will be glad to take his money and send him something "similar" to what he thinks he's buying!

No need for a new clasp. Wrap it with some painters tape and use pliers with no teeth to squeeze the tab or catch a little try it... repeat if needed. Easy peasy.

Yeah Dude!
You read the Terms from the Admin.......

Everyone that sells on this board has to post a picture there name and date or be a trusted seller and most if not all offer a guarantee .....

Why would you think they guy that makes the rules for all to follow does so him self ???????
How dumb can you be???????

Thats sarcasm for all you friendly guys that dont know it when you see it as your all so friendly and what not :)

PS:
The Bearing guess he was talking about a BALL Bearing but in the watch clasp's case it is just called a BALL or spring loaded Ball... Looks just like a Ball Bearing but the balls must fit into a race to be called Ball Bearing

I'm afraid to ask where you got that, lol.

Anyways, now that the OP [mrshagz] has had his pacifier [aka money refunded] let's hope he's a real man and sends the watch back to D4M.

Yo Mamma! :p

Actually, um.... well... Christmas porn. But I was looking for something "clean" that could be posted here, just to lighten things up a bit. When I saw that, the devil got the better of me. :err:

LOL, what kind of sick, twisted individual searches for "Christmas porn"? You don't happen to hang out on /b/, do you? :p

See, this thread is starting to turn around! :)

I don't know what /b/ is btw. I've got enough distractions to deal with...

BTW, I figured this was safe to post since there aren't any naughty parts showing. As my father-in-law would say, two women together, it's a beautiful thing. You'd have to know him to understand just how funny that statement is...

Everything has been said and I can only applaud D4M for refunding the guy before getting the watch back from him...I once had a Blackbird that couldn't quick change the date with the crown from D4M and he promptly replaced it...You just have to understand what his policies are before buying...

Would like to chime in for the non-closing clasp here...It is a mechanical problem and is not an easy fix AFAIK...3 years ago, I bought a MBW ROO from a now banned dealer...The watch was beautiful and ran great...The issue was the clasp was not closing just like this DSSD here...The problem was the same that the spring loaded balls on both side of the buckle that hold the clasp was stuck inside and not pushing into the recesses of the clasp thus left the clasp freely flapping...Worst in my case that the 2 balls and the spring flew off and got lost after some fiddling and the clasp would not close at all...It took me a year trying to get a replacement buckle/clasp from the dealer with no result...Ended up I had to buy a new bracelet for the watch...That was one of the many issues the dealer had at the time and he finally got banned...

I have an answer for you. The answer is, NO, this is not acceptable, but the thing that is not acceptable is YOU.

I saw this thread last night, but having been up for 32 hours by that time, I decided that I didn't feel up to reading a thread with fifty plus responses, and now I'm sorry, because there were seventy-eight responses by this morning. But I think that it's clear to 99.8% of the forum where the real problem lies, so yes, this thread is now locked.
