Who cares man the gen is the ultimate keeper, I am also keeping my gen PO in the drawer and wear my TC, next moon phase maybe my gen gets more time, that's the sport that's why we love it, you chose a 300usd rep over your precious gen for some time [emoji106]

Haha it is quite the enjoyable hobby.
I'm shipping it to Vac on Monday to waterproof it so that should give me about a week to wear my gen datejust again [emoji106]

I agree. I have several of them. I'm always playing with it trying to adjust it, and trying to break them in. Because they are so thick. I have some others that get most of the wear

What is the lume like on the silver HR dial please? I'm sure it's good in its own right but is it close to gen colour? Does the HR dial pair well with the rep hands lume wise?

It's nice and bright on mine and looks close to gen pics that I've seen but I haven't done a side by side comparison irl. Not sure about the match with ZF hands as I built mine myself and used HR hands as well as dial.

I can answer some questions.
First of all, the 6:00 marker on the gold HR dial in the pic above does not line up with the chapter ring. This was the case on mine (silver) as well and I had to move the marker. Helen said that it was not crooked when i asked about it in the QC pic, but it indeed was!!!
The silver HR hands DO NOT match the dial. The dial lume is slightly creamy and the hands are bright white.
If you want to remove the date change position when you pull the crown, you need: set bridge ETA 2801-2 445/1327
Can someone confirm the thickness of the rep BB case? I went with an HR because it is 12.7mm like the gen. I think the rep is 13.5mm. The HR case is far from perfect. The crown appears to be etched instead of engraved and all the paint came off mine. Since it is not engraved, it is hard to repaint it. Also there are no serial numbers, and finally there is a bezel gap which can be also seen in the photos on the HR website.

I can confirm the rep case is 13.5 as those are the ones I've been using. They're made thicker so they could be used for both 2824 reps and 2813 lo-beat cheepos. I never considered using the HR case because price tag as well, I figured the only difference besides gen thickness was better crown tube which I didn't care about because I wasn't planning on diving with my reps.
I note that Raffles dials has started carrying full BBH case sets now for $150.00 so I might spring for one of those just to check it out, they look decent but the description is short on specs. The included dial looks kind of raffles-crappy though with flat printing and an oddly ZF-ish rose.

Hor-fan, I would say that your dial and hands don't match and it is worse in the sun. I had my hands relumed to match the dial by Ken at Everest. He said it took him three tries to get it right and it is still not perfect. I should have had him do the dial and hands. Interesting that your crown is quite a bit deeper than the HR

wow, the rose on the dial looks very good. also the 3d print. looking to order a dial for my black bay black... hmm...
it think the lume is slightly different between black bay red (green) and black bay black (green with a shot of blue). the Helenarou-Dials are more green.
