I guess if it’s real. I will order another watch from him . Gonna message him now. This was released just today lol
If you have an order pending with him for the Le Mans and haven't accepted QC, just ask him you want the newest 24hr subdial release and show him the promo pictures.I guess if it’s real. I will order another watch from him . Gonna message him now.
Oh nah. I just ordered a DJ Wimbledon from him. Thanks for the heads up!If you have an order pending with him for the Le Mans and haven't accepted QC, just ask him you want the newest 24hr subdial release and show him the promo pictures.
It's on the list, but no sample watch yet, also not sure whenI’m also seeing that this watch has been added to Clean’s product list, is this accurate/incoming? Maybe @CTime can weigh in
It's kind of hard to confirm or deny if you're getting a 12hr or 24hr movement for this watch.... the only way is to go with a trusted dealer.
Isn't WG Rolex tone meant to be more yellow? So QF kinda looks more platnium to me.... still cool they did this.Since the question has arisen here as to whether the ‘old’ QF LeMans Tungsten has a white gold plating or whether the steel has a different colour, I have compared it with the VSF/SBF Panda. As you can see - yes, it has a different colour. The steel of the VSF has a very slight yellowish tinge, while the steel or coating of the QF is more of a bluish colour.
Disclaimer: The photos were taken in a cheap light box with cold light, there was no post-processing and no white balance. Under different lighting conditions, the result will also look different.
I'm a complete ignoramus in that respect. I also once had a Datejust where the bezel was subsequently given a WG plating and I didn't see any difference ;-)Isn't WG Rolex tone meant to be more yellow? So QF kinda looks more platnium to me.... still cool they did this.
Thanks. Can anybody adjust the WB in some app so the VSF looks like steel? That s how we ll see what colour the tungsten alloy is )Since the question has arisen here as to whether the ‘old’ QF LeMans Tungsten has a white gold plating or whether the steel has a different colour, I have compared it with the VSF/SBF Panda. So the screws pivot on tungsten. The tungsten portion must be much softer than the steel screws. This seems quite bad doesn’t it?
tungsten as a material is actually harder than steel! so no need to worry about that stuff. it's when you have titanium that's the issue me thinksSo the screws pivot on tungsten. The tungsten portion must be much softer than the steel screws. This seems quite bad doesn’t it?
Oh that’s good to know! But they aren’t using a pure tungsten right? It’s some sort of alloy?tungsten as a material is actually harder than steel! so no need to worry about that stuff. it's when you have titanium that's the issue me thinks
I think someone said qf does rhodium plating in the thread earlier. That would explain why it looks brighter instead of the yellow hue of wgIsn't WG Rolex tone meant to be more yellow? So QF kinda looks more platnium to me.... still cool they did this.
there's different blends of WG! so he could be correct! not all WG are born equalI think someone said qf does rhodium plating in the thread earlier. That would explain why it looks brighter instead of the yellow hue of wg
I asked andiot if he could ask the factory and he said it’s wg plating though
