Mines in the post today (SD43 with 2824).... For reference:
2924 movement:
Aren't there other issues eg the "knee" of the 2 on the Gen DW one has a little spike thing coming out of it? (also new to this, but it is interesting spotting the differences - and apologies for not knowing the correct terminologies, but spike thing seems appropriate)
Ok, I'll wait till midnight, lol. I'll post it.Yes but let's see a 12!
I'll risk it and buy a gen datewheel. Normal price for gen DW is 100 - 150 USD?The ones BK sells are stock Noob overlays, direct from the factory. Here's an example on my Noob Batman. There are no gen "overlays", it's an entire DW and they would not swap 1:1 into an ETA 2824/36. I have read about people essentially sanding off much or most of the metal part of the gen DW (teeth and lower ring) and then using what's left as an overlay to glue onto the rep DW. Not a task for the faint of heart, but I think manageable by someone with a little skill.

Completely agree, well said! BK sells Noob overlays that can be glued onto the ARF datewheel. The ARF overlay should be removed first. Last time I corresponded with BK he was asking $40 per overlay plus 4 shipping.
Post showing how to do this
