Can you answer the question? What would you call it and what would you do? If Puretime said, "We'll give you back your money on a watch that's clearly been lost in postage for ages" and then just...didn't, would you count that as fair? I'm trying to understand what the expectation is.

These TD's are not organised like our companies. So there can be little faults (beside that, big companies haven't told me the truth quite often)

No, they won't delete it, you will stay here indefinitely as an example of stupidity. The spirit of the forum is to showcase how impatient people whine like a girl with her pants off openly for just a few hundred dollars and not even listen to others.
You will be a case study here, be happy about that.
FFS, you are a member been here longer than I do, and you bought a rep from one of the TDs here. Why don't you pull a ticket and let the staff mods help you? Instead of choosing a better and more efficient way to do things, you chose a stupid way, trying to roast the TD openly.
Is being roasted openly by other members the expectation you're trying to understand? We can fulfill you, more than happy to do so.
I have "pulled a ticket." I think publicly holding a TD accountable is also valuable. I would want to know if a user on here went through this so that I could direct my business elsewhere.
For the last 5 or 6 years, how many times you've seen on RWI someone trying to openly shame a TD and he has been successful?
I just checked the definition of "stupid" in the dictionary is "doing something has failed but expecting a different outcome".
I pay attention to these kinds of things. I suspect others do too. It's good to be open about these so that people are aware. Anyone is free to ignore the warnings.
There is no "elsewhere". You have been explained that TDs have to overcome a lot of constraints to be able to deliver the watch. They have little to no control over many variables including CC processors since they sometimes rely on third parties for that. So it is more or less the same everywhere. One may favor a TD over another but it's just a matter of personal preference.
You are dealing with illegal items so you have to adjust your expectations accordingly.
Has it occurred to you that PT may have also been misled by payment processor???
We have a helpdesk to deal with that kind of issues. Most of the times it an issue of miscommunication that can easily be solved.
Posting a thread affirming that the TD is scamming you when you are only dealing with a common issue in the rep game is absolutely not the way to do things around here and you should know better since you've been here long before me. *
Oh and you can forget about "directing your business elsewhere". TDs share a blacklist and you can be sure that you will be on it after pulling a stunt like this!
You can try your luck with non TDs. Be sure to come share your experience with them!

I appreciate what you've said, but this is especially interesting. What's the concern with non-TDs? Might they take my money and not get me a watch? Because we're already in that spot with a TD.
If their payment processor told them something else, they could have relayed that. If they had taken initiative and said, "We're sorry, we thought we could get you a refund, but it turns out we cannot," that would have been fine. Instead it went from "we are sending you a refund today" to "no refund."
Again, I don't know what really happened.
TDs are not Amazon. They are small businesses dealing in contraband that do what they can with their resources to overcome the many hoops that they have go through in order to satisfy us. Some communicate better than others. Some are faster than others. It all depends on many variables including the alignment of the stars and the mood of the missus at home.
This is why we have helpdesk to assist us if there is an issue.
The problem is not that you raised the issue. You are perfectly entitled to since you do indeed have an issue.
The problem is that you cried wolf (accusing PT of scamming scam you) before having given the mods the opportunity to sort out what is a rather common issue.
I totally understand that these companies are not Amazon. I do not expect Amazon-level customer service and there's a good deal of room between Amazon-level service and lying about a refund being processed when it cannot be.
