I received the spring bars and they fit perfect in the RubberB.

Maybe I pick up a $15 insert and age(bleach) it to look faded. Nice idea.

I sanded

and bleached my old insert.

This took (3) 4 minute soaks and (1) 8 minute soak in the bleach. I checked between each session.

I think I'll try to lighten it up a bit further.

Vintage is vintage and modern is modern, don't mix too much, otherwise the rep producers would produce more and more 1680 with laser crowns!

The whole object of this piece is to look retro! Notice that the CG's are gone? Notice the NATO? All vintage touches. :lol:

If you really want it to look retro then just stick something on the crystal to make it intransparent, so the rehaut engraving is no longer visible :biglaugh:
