Procurement of parts to make your own homage watches with your own personal logo.

I'm new here, as you most likely have already figured out. I started tinkering with watches at the start of the year. My deep down desires are the need to fix things, it is what I do working in the health Care field. Also have a need to be creative. Using my hands. Fixing movements is challenging. As my intro says about my little screw drivers.

I need help with procuring parts to make homage watches with my personal logo.
My new movement craving is the Rolex clones the Dandong VS-3135 and the 3186 GMT.

Trying to find cases, especially the 904L stainless steel cases for these 2 movements is quite difficult. The big kick in the family jewels (I'm trying to keep it clean), is trying to procure dials for these movements with my logo. I won't go into the logo issue, but sadly our Chinese brethren on AluExpress, fear losing their business by the Chinese government for copyright infringement, but amazingly Rolex can be printed on the dial faces by these same entities, and it not be a problem. Go figure that one out. I have multiple gen Rolex's, not looking to use the name.

Where can you buy dials with my logo for these two movements without needing to buy 50 or 100 dials at 75 to 100 plus dollars a dial. I'm looking for 3 to 5 dials, maybe a few more with my personal logo.

Can someone please direct me in the right direction?

Thank you, El Gyno!

Great post and even better point about the printing of a logo! It definitely made me chuckle. I hope that someone here can point you in the right direction. As someone that would desire to do the same, I'm still learning the terminology and how movements work before I delve deep into craft my own personalized timepiece. I don't see that being far off though!

Aliexpress companies are still a "legal" entity no matter how much shady links they have to the replica game (for sure they have similar suppliers just look at Sugess), they used to be much more loose about printing dials and custom dials, they offered that service for many years until around 2022 when there was a crack down, which is why those "custom" dial/logo services are no longer offered.

To them, they don't have enough western knowledge/ legal expertise or staff to check every single logo design that they receive is legitimately a non trademarked logo or not, so they shut the whole thing down instead.

Hello and WELCOME from the official RWI reception desk!

You are receiving this introduction because you either posted in the "new members say hi" section or —for the first time(s)— elsewhere. In the latter case, consider introducing yourself in the aforementioned section.

If you haven't already, please make sure to read all relevant sticky threads. They contain important and essential information such as the forum rules! Most importantly the sales rules, because you will NOT yet be eligible / allowed to sell unless you meet certain criteria / are certified first.

A good starting point is this list of resources on RWI:

Please also take another look at this important sticky that you should already have seen after logging on for the first time:

This quick anti-fraud guide is essential if you are about to order from a dealer for the first time:

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me or @Feefo!

We will gladly help, but please allow some time for PM responses as we have lifes outside of RWI!

Thanks for the input. I didn't know about the crack down.

Thanks for the input. I didn't know about the crack down.
In around late 2022 there was a site wide crackdown of copyright trademark infringement terms, before 2022 you could see lots of stores advertise "Rolex homage" in their names for watches, and now if you search Rolex you won't get anything.

Regarding custom dials, well, you can get them done after market. But you have to know what you want though. There are many cool dial makers here, you can look at Caboose's builds, or manodero of the vintage section did cool Doxa dials.

You can try some of the modders here :

Although I think that a 3-5 dial order, the price will be at least $200. That's just the way it works - I haven't seen anything "cheaper" for custom dials. Expensive but that's how life is with one off things.

Sadly they turned me down. My logo is the Greek word for time ΩΡΑ, with my last name under it. They say I'm infringing on Omega with their "Ω". I even wrote a letter of authorization, relinquishing then of any liabilities in copyright infringement. I explain the word is not OMEGA or just Ω the Greek vowel. That Omega didn't copyright the Greek lexicon. That there are businesses with the word ΩΡΑ in their title, present in Greece, and there has been no copyright issues. They always say no. It seems that "mental density rules", even better being quite "obtuse".
I have even thought of buying my own dial printing press for a few hundred, but I'm clueless on that process.

No mate, it's just that they don't want to deal with it. Omega has the greek symbol trade marked and it's the literal watch maker logo. You have to understand there's difference between another non watch related business using the word Omega, and then having such a symbol on the watch dial itself. The trade mark/IP thing is super super strict/

Hi buddy.

If you do need help with purchase of movements, I think I am able to help but there is a waiting time as I need to directly check with Factory owner and place an order.

Have fun modding. Cheers!

Found my movements. Finding the blank 3186 dials and getting someone to place my logo, had become like attempting health surgery with plastic forks and knifes. I am begging to believe that it can't be done.
Thank you though.

You can try to contact these guys. They mostly deal in NH-XX dials and movements but maybe they are able to do a custom job with a different dial layout for the date window. I know they pad print custom logos and they're not that pissy about what you want to print.
