Hi there,
As far as I am aware I don't think the gold plating has an issue with this watch.
Unless you are "lucky" enough to buy a bad one.
Even the PF's did not had issues as far as I know.
Mine doesn't at least.
The only area you may see some wear is where the butterfly clasp touches the bracelet and you will see some black/grey spots due to metal-to-metal contact.
This is common to all gold plated watches, reps and gens too.

Just picked up this fabulous 3KF 5711/1R-001....
The rep strap isn't great - so I have swapped it out for this genuine Rubber B dark grey "Swim Skin" strap. I'm delighted with the results....
(My photos aren't in the same league as Mark1937's - but trust me, in the flesh this watch is STUNNING...!)

Love the combo! Does that mean genuine straps will fit the 3kf without mods? I thought the end links were not accurate on these.

It's a huge improvement, and incredibly comfortable...!
I can only say that the Rubber B strap fitted without any drama. As Rubber B would have followed the gen specs, I would assume that a gen PP strap would also fit.
Can I ask at which TD you bought the 3kf with the leather strap? And do you know if you need to buy the one with the leather strap if you want to upgrade to the rubber b strap or if you can buy the bracelet one and swap it out as well?

any TD can get you the 3KF in RG.
The end link on the bracelet version is attached to the bracelet and not to the case - so you would have to order a conversion kit if you want to put a rubber B on your bracelet version.
At least in theory. the dimensions on the RG + leather strap could be different but i doubt it as it wouldn't be cost effective at all to produce a single case just for one reference.
Ask your TD if he can get you a separate leather strap + end links to your bracelet version - should be feasible.

I was planning on putting a Rubber B on a my 5711 as well but ended up selling the watch. Do you know what the measurements are for the end links on the 3K?
Since they are fatter I'm wondering if the length is still the same. Here's the measurement on the GRF conversion link I have for sale.

I would say they are 12mm x 7mm - but those measurements aren't taken with a micrometer! Also seems to taper fractionally towards the strap side.
The endlinks also have the small lug that engage inside the ends of the strap - and the Rubber B has those same recesses.
It really was quite a straightforward swapover - a bit fiddly with the ludicrously tiny screws that engage in the strap pins, but as I said, no real drama.
P.S. - I'm actually thinking about putting up this fabulous combination for sale to fund another project I have in mind. Basically it will be a Catch & Release with the addition of the Rubber B - happy to do a reserved sale if anybody here wants to PM me.

Did you guys see the new PPF 5711R with the baguette bezel and indices up on intime's website? Hopefully they come out with the 5711/111P "out of catalogue" models soon.
I did some research and the rose gold one is actually called the Patek Philippe 5723/1R-010.
