I have 2 rep plated from 4 years...they are new!

Some including myself have seen the inner of the bracelet where the butterfly clasp touches the bracelet, gold plating fades away soon leaving behind some nasty black spots.

Have you seen something similar with yours?

I received mine today. The dial has a sunburst like effect to it, but it also seems to have tinges of gray.

Can you show some pictures with measurements?

Overall, how are the watch case and bracelet dimensions?

I was going to take pictures tomorrow in the sunlight. I don't have precise measuring tools so I can't give my exact dimensions.

It was raining all day today so I couldn't take pics under the sun. Do you want some under indoor lighting?

Yes..as many as you want to take. And then also daylight when available.

That wouldn't hurt at all!

It will be an interesting comparison to do between pics taken indoors and outdoor.

Overall, are you satisfied by the watch? Dial, case and bracelet?

The crown seems to be sitting proud more than the gen. The PF is better in that detail.

The PPF dial is an improvement to the PF one though.

I just ordered my first replica.... but not sure I'd ever oder a gold anything replica since the weight could never feel close to the same. Even my JLC ultra thin on leather is much more densely weighted than my steel watches with bracelets. Looking forward to having fun with replicas but don't think there is a way to mitigate the weight delta.

Question: Who says a lighter replica is not feeling better on your wrist than the gen?

Anyway, if replicas were made from solid gold and not being gold plated, then why not buy the gen watch instead

Is not the weight.. But the plating will come off, is not worth every buying one IMHO unless is gold wrapping

I don't understand how the weight could be an issue unless you are trying to pass your rep as a gen

isn't the definition of a replica: a copy exact in all details? it is. So what are we buying and wearing these for? Should the DIAL say FATEK, FOLEX then? then we are sure noone can pass these as gen. why do we care about color or only buying steel so the gold doesn't show through? i think 99% try to pass it off as gen. I don't really get people asking.....not a single one; asking me if its real or fake. maybe i'm wearing it wrong? am i supposed to announce its fake as i wear it? i would tell someone its not real if they did ask but i never had anyone ever ask such. nobody cares. i bought a fake 116610 LN so i don't have to screw up my gen. my gen breitling i don't even care about...its a tank. but before i knew the world existed, nobody questioned my watches...nobody does now either.

Not sure if you agree with my remarks or the opposite

But no a replica is "trying" to achieve an exact copy, but it's not even close to trying to copy each and every little details, it's the key features that they are after, there's a cost/detail ratio in there.

There's a difference between something that look almost as good as the gen even on close inspection and something that have the same weight.

People after an exact copy need to buy the gen, the rep game is not to pass something for gen, that's the main issue here, as long as people will see the hobby that way, they'll never be satisfied and will always ask more, the Rolex rep game is at such a point that people are more picky with rep than gens !
