I guess the trade-off was between a movement with GMT hand and fake date at 6 o'clock and fake GMT with working date...probably the right choice

In a watch that fat almost anything is possible. Doesn't really matter the driver. Some module work. If a 4130 can be built, a module producing a simple GMT hand as well as date hand is definitely doable. It really isn't rocket science. I think that Rep is a poor effort and a step back to the old days.

It is also clear from the video that the skeleton hour hand is actually a power reserve indicator, so there is no GMT function at all . I am guessing the pushers do nothing.

That's disappointing, but I do find a PR useful as well... I wonder where it stops and starts

Other non-TD has it listed as 12.5 mm thick, which would make it around 2mm thicker than gen...

I don’t believe so, but hopefully with the new 3K movement they can replicate a full functioning version
