Does he mention the cost?A trusted dealer also told me his team can modify the super clone PPM 324 to a real free sprung and have it look 99% gen.

If it has free sprung, it’s the ACE movement. Who is the TD?"It is a custom 324 movement by doing polishing, exquisite engraving on the plates and more refined base decoration and custom modified the movement to free sprung movement. Modding it to free sprung movement is an intricate job." This is what I was told.
That won't be good. Worst case scenario, it might cause problems for the movement...Apparently there is a factory called PPM that “hides” the regulator arm so that it stays stable.
In that case, I will swap a gen rotor.I have backread PMs and TD did not confirm PPM. But rather told me a clone custom engraved movement. Quoted me 2850$. With an option to add custom 22K Gold Rotor for additional 1k.
By "custom 324 movement" does he mean a 3kf movement? Finger cross the "custom" parts are not just for decorative purposes, like the engraved plates. My problem with my 5711 is not about the look, but the stability of the movement."It is a custom 324 movement by doing polishing, exquisite engraving on the plates and more refined base decoration and custom modified the movement to free sprung movement. I'm with you. Those gray market used car salesmen are just fucking appalling.I couldn't agree more. But then when a 5711 which PP only selling for 35k can go up to almost 90k today, chances are it is a mercy kill if you can get it for 50k.
TBH I've been on the 5711 waiting list for years until it was discontinued, then I turned to the rep market. I can just get one from any reseller for about 85k but I am hesitant. I am ok letting our TDs and modders earn something because they deserve to earn it, but just can't stand those people earning more than PP did.
I never watch any effing "watch and luxury KOLs" on youtube, those watch guys on youtube just like a cheap clown in the country circus. Thing only thing about watch I will watch on the tube is those watch revival and repairing videos, like "Wristwatch Revival" etc.they are arrogant little bitches and they LIED on youtube

I think its a clone movement too with better engravings. In that case, I will swap a gen rotor.

Nico is the chubby guy who reacts on celebrities watch collections? AP probably paid him to just say good things about them. Can't agree with you more on those so called watch experts.
Btw did you know AP invited Nico to their youtube podcast? I lost so much respect for AP after that, AP has some of the worst customer service and they kept bitching about grey dealers and now... they pulled this. Fuck them.
Anyways, I think what you're wsnting to do for your 5711 is unique....
I'd still try to get a gen movment if I wer eyou tho
yes, the fat and loud dutch guy who was whining about ferrari .Nico is the chubby guy who reacts on celebrities watch collections? AP probably paid him to just say good things about them.
I had a fully modded PF 5711 with 3kf movement and the stem broke. I then tried opening it but it was too tight for a rubber ball so I used a caseback opener and ended up dinging the caseback. Lol. If you are going to get a gen movement better have a good modder too to have it installed unless you are an expert watchmaker yourself.
Brands always focus on the SEO and the reach, they like to piggyback onto big platforms like youtube and those so-called KOLs. the worst nightmare for the brand PR and marketing manager is they have a few sets of matrices to follow in order to get the 100% year-end bonus, and things like this are within those matrices. Around 15 years ago, they had better days piggybacking on those bloggers who are much easier to buy, usually not involving a lot of money. Nowadays, some vloggers take watches if their subscription number is big enough. Can't agree with you more on those so called watch experts.

If only for engraving, life would be much easier. Buff doing this for $500 and if you do the swap with him the old movement can trade in for money.I think its a clone movement too with better engravings.
I was told my PF was modded by legend. My 5711 is done by TWM too. They did a good job modding it, but the movement is below par and TWM has nothing to do about it.
How did it break? Mechanical error or you saw nico with ap, gets pissed and threw the damn thing to the floor?I was told my PF was modded by legend. It looks great but broke.
If its just engravings I think stock PPM would do.
For 17k you can find a 5117 donor watch. That’s probably a 315sc movementI haven't seen any of those on the market, or they are hidden and only made available to watchmakers and modders. The best bet is getting a second-hand obsolete Calatrava 6007a and taking the movement from it. So 50k plus
