Amazing Specs!! The SEL also looks perfect!!

Great looking watch.

I keep reading reshaped Noob case. Does anyone have any before after pic of the Reshaping. Which area is being reshaped. Just curious.

Too me it just looks like the edged of the lugs have been softend.
That's what looks like was done to his case. This way it mimics the earlier 116520 cases that had softer lugs. The newer 116520 lugs are identical to what you see in 116500.

Like you said the edges need softening but also the sides of the case on the Noob are too flat looking from the top down there it needs more of a curve from the middle of the case out to the end of the lugs. There is also more of a curve to the bottom of a gen case but to get it perfect you'd need to add material to the Noob case. The Noob SEL are way off. I used a small hammer with a rubber head to tighten any side to side play between the Gen SEL and the Noob case. This thing took me probably a solid 40 hours of shaping and polishing.

That’s amazing!! I was going to say that’s the best fitting bracelet I have seen on a Noob case.

Coz I knew Gen Bracelets usually have a lousy fit on Noob cases. Good job mastering the Hammering technique to get that tight SEL fit.

Not usually attracted to Two Tone watches. But this looks pretty impressive.
What are the specs? Gen case also?

Gen everything, mid case and bracelet too.
Beautiful piece there.

Hi Spatiumtemporis,

May I ask where you have the mid case modified, and what work has been done on it? I've tried to contact modders in this forum about this, but without success. Would appreciate if there' s any information of modders who will reshape the noob daytona mid case.

The case was modified by myself. I used a miny improvised lapping setup to be able to reshape the top part of the lugs. The sides were also modified using the same lapping technique.

The case is pretty close to the real deal in my opinion. Check my 116520 dial thread. I've posted some comparison pics on the latest posts.

For anybody curious if the Gen markers are a straight fit or not, they aren't, feet need to be shaved and markers need to be glued in place

I can't mod other peoples cases cause I don't have time to do it anymore but I may part with this piece eventually.

It's not that obvious what the diff are between the Gen and noob case but once you get familiarized with the Gen case you'll be able to tell what needs to be modified.

Hope this helps

Thank you. After reading your 116520 dial thread about the case reshaping, I can only admire your skills and dedication to perfection knowing that I will never be capable of doing the same to my noob case.
