Poor experience with Hontwatch

I was in search of a Rolex 124060 with the VS3230 movement. The price was decent. QC was fast (within a day). I ended up going through 2 sets QC photos, both of which had the same issue (which Hontwatch acknowledged).

I've seen others here recount being called "too picky" by this TD for an RL or for asking too many questions. My experience was the same in this exchange. I was refused a third QC and offered a refund, which I accepted. Despite being through crypto, the refund took 26 days with next to no communication.

In my opinion he can choose who he wants to sell watches. But 26 days no communication for refund suck. I got from other TDs and no TDs refund within 2 days.

I applaud Hont. This is why I like him as a TD. No nonsense dealer.
I truly cannot fathom how you arrived at that conclusion, given the succinct and objective nature of my initial post. Pushing multiple watches with the same defect while rudely ignoring customer feedback is objectively the opposite of a no-nonsense dealer.

Nearly a month for a refund is, again, objectively the opposite of a no-nonsense dealer.

Limits on number of QCs and how they treat customers are the TD's prerogative. Mine is to purchase from TDs that don't respond childishly to valid QC feedback - there are plenty. You do you, though.

I've been buying from TDs for much longer than you and never had an issue. Maybe this is too much for your soul. May I suggest basket weaving ?

You got a refund? You must be a problematic customer. /s
When you spend that much money on watches the relation to your dealer will go over business and he will send your kids and yourself birthday presents and family photos and make video calls. And of course: refunds if something isnt good

Good for you, man. A bit off-topic for this thread, though.

My response was one of sarcasm, so I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say. I agree with everything in your first comment, though.

In my opinion if you are buying something, you are the one who is paying, the seller should not be upset if you find a defect in it.
And 26 days to refund that really sucks.

so what was wrong with the QC photos?

To cite the FAQs:
QC pics are to satisfy YOU that the watch is OK to YOUR standards...

I RL'd twice for the same issue which is not typical of the manufacturer. How the TD handled it is the only thing that's relevant to my review here.

Thank you for this, at the end of the day you got your money back though, another testament as to why they are a TD. Find another TD, and try again.
Oh, absolutely. I did end up getting the watch from another TD with no issues.

The shitty Karen story of OP is a keen reason for me to buy from Hont next round. The No-BS attitude is a plus.
Yep, leveraging QC photos for their intended purpose makes me a total Karen. Keen observation, indeed.

Keep glazing TDs for lousy behavior. They'll happily keep taking your money.
