Yes i confirm date is a bit low because the dial is misaligned By about 1 Degree. Sync is actually ok, the movement is a bit loose

Don’t you think her date is a bit low? Also looks like the hour hand is significantly out of sync/ slow comparative to the minute hand.

@miuramas OK, after your notes i didn't sleep tonight! ahahahah, i just brought the sweet explorer to the watchsmith in order to sync minute and hour hands!!! I also shyly tried to ask to adjust dial misalignement but probably will not adjust!

Good man! Get those bezel numbers touched up with some enamel paint as well!
Sorry - your post yesterday just wasn't a great advert for the Noob! ;)

Dragon88 While Noob is still the top of the heap IMO, don't forget the current batch has grey markers, not white. It will need to be re-lumed. Also highly recommend the ICHS movement (2836).

Tried to look for the Noob ICHS movement (2836) version, but no luck. Possible to get help to source this version of the watch? I see my TD is selling the Noob CHS (3187) on a discount. Any idea why this is selling cheaper now, and how is the reliability compared to others?

TD Asian 7750 might have some left.

See my post GMT Movements Explained regarding Noob "3187" reliability. The movement is actually a modified 2824 CHS aka "timebomb".

I am in the same boat.

I purchased an explorer II rep from a non -TD (before I found this forum...from my father in law). Its a piece of junk but I paid $100 so what do I really expect. The GMT hand does not work and it sounds like a fidget spinner but it does look pretty good.

So after reading a bunch of posts, I have decided on the NOOB but unsure of the movement. I did read this awesome post (https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...cas/8449368-rep-rolex-gmt-movements-explained) , but it doesn't explain all of them.

At first I was going to go with the GMF version with the 904L SS but after reading this thread, I saw that the NOOB was the best way to go even though it has 316F SS.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!

Seems like you just answered my above post about the 3186

What about the 3187? Also same as the 2824 "timebomb"?

gennacide Followed up on the link gennacide sent and found this piece from Noob with ICHS A2836.

Would you recommend this movement over the Noob 3187 CHS? Really not bothered with the placement of the hand stack, the most important aspect would be to actually set the time without being afraid the timebomb is gonna go off.

Another thing is the noise of the movement. Do you know if the A2836 is noisy on these GMT´s?

In the GMT Movements Explained thread, he explains that the 2836 is the "safe bet" and a better option if you don't care about the ICHS.

Good question on the noise! I have an Explorer II that is super loud and the GMT hand doesn't work. That is why I am looking into a better one.

Honestly, I think I'm going to just get the GMT Master II. Seems like its one of the best REP out there.

From Toro's pics - Movement is ETA, GMT hand is on the bottom, can only be:
A2836 ICHS SAFE BET

From Toro's pics - Movement is ETA, hour hand is on the bottom, can only be:
A2824 CHS TIMEBOMB

From PT's pics - Movement is ETA, hour hand is on the bottom, can only be:
A2824 CHS TIMEBOMB

As I indicated in my GMT Movements Explained post, study the movement and the hand stack. It will tell you what is being offered.

Generally speaking Asian ETA clone rotors are not noisy. This includes the A2836 ICHS and the A2824 CHS Asian ETA clones.

The Noob 2836 ICHS is out of production and most TDs are not able to get it any longer. I have read that Ryan at Intime cannot. I also read that Tony at ASIAN 7750 is able to. I hope by now you would know that the A2836 ICHS is absolutely THE recommended choice over the Noob "3187", which is actually a 2824 CHS timebomb with a single fake 3187 engraving on it. There is no rep 3187 movement.

The A2836 rotor is not noisy.

Thank you so much for all your help!!! You saved me from buying the timebomb!

I am now between buying the Explorer II A2836 and the GMT-Master II ARF SH3186 CHS "super clone"

Just have to decide which one I want more.
