And my other pet peeve - distortion. Little lenses on these cameras are prone to barrel/pincushion distortion.

The plug-in Program "Debarrelizer" has saved many a shot - makes a cheap lens look (distortionally speaking) like a more expensive one.

My girlfriends Canon needs it for every shot - but then again so does my Nikon 50 f/1.4 :D

But what wins out is stuff like the texture in that Lisbon shot. Doesn't matter what you us, as you have shown, its the final image that counts.

I've been to big budget shoots where the photog has used only a Polaroid SX-70 - and he shot the shit out of that thing. Doesn't matter what you have in your hand - it's how well you shoot it. :D

Yep - the Andy Warhol special.

My only consolation is I can always make an image from my Hassleblad look like images from almost any other camera. You can't always make images from any other camera look like those from my Hasselblad :D

RB, back home we have a proverb from the middle ages: "It's not the sword, it's the hand" but I feel the sword helps

Yes, Pugwash has been reading up on the rule of thirds, a strategically placed Sub.

About swords RB, here are some pics of my swords, the 3 bottom ones (2 katanas and the hand and a half bastard) are hand tempered, high quality carbon steel.

@anubis144 - You win. Your sword will kick my sword's ass!

Always wanted one of those - probably better than I never got one. Like the shots. Pics of those would be welcome here, as well. I would love to see some detail shots. Very, very nice.

Rule of thirds? It's 0.618:1, the golden ratio. Two years of Art School will do that to you.
