Pelagos ZF vs. V6 - is there a consensus?

From experience with ZF IWCs their QC sucks bigtime. I'm almost certain you will have issues on the dial like dust/scratches and crooked markers unless they have vastly improved their assembly lines.

V6 QC has always been good and their assembly is not messy. Take a look at how many QC issues with the ZF IWCs

Is there a ZF V2 with the four line dial or is the V2 only refer to the two line dial?

I had a same problem with ZF black bay one but not sure it is exactly problem with your watch. I went to watchsmith to open it and found out that something stuck with its hands. He remove hand and adjust them. Now it works fine. Your solution are ship it back to your TD or find your local watchsmith to fix. Good luck!

OK, I know you responded to me almost 4 months ago, but I was moving to a new state and started a new job as well, so I have been crazy busy. I took my watch to a local watchsmith and the issue is still persisting. He said he removed some debris, but the watch still stops a short time after wearing on wrist, however seems to keep time well staying flat.

Do you think it would still be possible to ship back to my TD? He believes there is something wrong with the movement, and is not going to undertake the "overhaul" required.

This is my first replica watch purchase, but I am quite frustrated. As I have heard great things by lurking on this forum and heard great things about my TD, but it is very unfortunate mine has issues. I really wanted to begin my collection with this watch, but I lost alot of confidence and would like to get this watch working again at the very least. Such nice quality would hate for it to be worthless.

TL;DR: Purchased Pelagos ~6 months ago from TD, doesn't work on wrist, works laying flat, got busy with life, sought advice here, brought to watchsmith, problem still persists, will TD still help me out?

my ZF V2 2 liner has been flawless, I handled a gen 5 liner and other than the bracelet being a little looser ( I do wear it nearly every day) its gen quality as far as fit and finish.

might be worth just paying a watchsmith to install a gen eta movement...that's my next step

Will the zf v2 take the gen eta as a direct swap ?

Sent from the RWI mobile app

The dimensions, stem height etc are the same from Asian to Swiss on 2824-2 and 2836, so yes.

The only mainstream movements where the Asian doesn't swap without modification either to the hands or the date wheel are the 7750 and 7753 respectively.

I will look into that as an option, but would it be possible to get anything resolved through contacting the TD i purchased from (puretime)

Honestly, I'd try to fix it locally, and truthfully if you are spending the money, I'd just swap in the ETA. It has a closed back so you will not loose any decorative plates, etc on the movement, just a engraved rotor which is not visible anyway. By the time you ship it back to China you are looking at probably two months to get it back plus the customs risks each way. There are several excellent watchsmiths here that can do either a movement swap or service that are CONUS based.

You've had the watch for months. Wether TD will help you with it, not sure but I doubt it.
Get a new movement. It's a very easy swap, should take 10 minutes and all parts (hands, dial, rotor) will swap over. You can find a 2824 very easily and they're not expensive. I would also have a different watchsmith work on it.

Ok thanks for the advice. Once again to reiterate. I am very much a beginner. I will try to swap in a genuine eta movement. In terms of locating a watch smith that will work on the repair. How do you propose locating one? I know a few near me will only deal with genuine products

Beside not markable spacing little flaws of numbers on bezel.. but You might also think is just a 2017 edition change...
