I must say that I can't remember the last time I was so excited about a Panerai watch, I've lost my interest lately..

I just talked to my TD and he didn't know anything about an updated version and said that it just came out and that he can't believe it's already been updated.

I hope he can source me one soon, I love it!

Thanks for a great review, well done!

Well the updated watch came out right after the feedback that the lume was wrong. Understandably TDs might not know about it yet.

I have the PAM243. I just had to get it from storage. :) The lug to lug distance is 53mm, so it wears a bit smaller than the PAM243, but only by a smidge. The 243 is just fits exactly on my 16cm wrist, meaning the lugs don't extend over the wrist.

Thank you for measuring! My TD just sent me shipping confirmation today, can't wait. :cheese:

@mysterio : That's perfectly understandable, of course.
Can you please tell me how does the CG lever feel? Does it open and close firmly with a nice "snap" or is it more on the loose side? My Noob 243 was perfect, is this similar?
Is the bezel action similar to the 243? Any play?
Is the movement very loud?
Do tell :) !
Thanks in advance for your reply!

Maybe you weren't able to read my initial review which explained the mechanism of how I do the past 3 reviews. They are reviews of pictures of the actual watches. The watches aren't with me yet, and it's now taking some time for the watches to get to me, so in order to release the reviews faster, I ask someone to take pictures of the watches and I make the review.

All of your questions cannot be answered by any single sample. There will be samples that have floppy levers and some with tight ones, some with bezels that have play and some without and some with noisy movements and some with barely a sound.

How about the others who have received their PAM682s, like @Sparky28 ? How does your particular unit perform?

Oh drat, that's the problem of reviewing too many watches. I probably shouldn't post any more reviews. LOL

Anyway, is your PAM671 from XF as well? Then the quality of the bezel, lever and movement should be comparable. :D

Ha ha your a busy guy on here so it's understandable,
Don't stop doing the reviews, you do a fab job
The bezel was great BUT it rattled around about half of it if I tapped it,It wasn't noticeable when wearing it though & I understand that not every watch will be like this,I will soon see for comparison as I've ordered another PAM671
The lever was great too, held the crown in nice & tight, wasn't too stiff plus it snapped into place lovely
The movement was fantastic, great PR,wound with ease, date changed well at 12am plus was really accurate & never lost/gained time daily
Hope this helps

My 671 bezel did rattle as well, same as tight lever.
kw/xf/vsf fam tends to have looser bezel installation compared to zf/noob based on the 4-5 sub reps I own. Just my own biased observation.
As for PAM682, now that lume is fixed, will probably make the jump in a few days ;)

Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. I did get some feedback from my dealer regarding the specific questions, and the lever was tight not floppy, even when unlocked, the bezel had a nice tight feeling and there was no play. The rotor was a bit noisy, but only when the watch was moved in an imbalanced way.

My bezel had a nice tight feel too & was quite stiff when moving which I think is a good thing. It didn't rattle when wearing it only if you tapped it in certain positions,It something I could live with.
My rotor was very quiet, even when shaking it for the automatic winding

It's also available at Josh's website but they are both not on the TD list here. They are though on other forums. :)

Edit:
Watchbus has posted that ZF V2 is also coming out although it only posted the picture of the updated lume (from the OP website). Not sure if it will change the other details.

I know buddy, i've posted only to share th HD video that they have made with others users :)

Finally i can place my order for this fantastic watch!

How it's your feel with this watch? I hope that thickness it's correct beacuse TD's claim these with 1:1 case, but i think that isn't 1:1 in reality.

Without an actual measurement of the gen watch, that claim cannot be verified or dismissed either way.

Yep

The watch it's great, but from the pics seems that caseback it's too hight compared with gen pics. Gen caseback seems moooore flat from its profile view.
