Since I am still on holidays, this „review†will be just poiting some interesting facts about KW PAM 127.


First of all, the sapphire is SUPERIOR over sapphire in KW 217. The best is to see this small movie:

Since many people were looking for radial brushing on movements, expecting it is missing - here it is. It is of smooth quality, not hars brushing on low speed and too much pressure as observed on ZF PAM 127…


Nice deep engravings on movement, sunburst brushing and polishing:

The conclusion is KW PAM 127 is better than I expected, especially with sapphire.

Other observations:
- there is a gap under bezel for easy bezel removal on 8 hour
- the strap is the same as for KW PAM 622 - smile and trash
- the seal under crown was oiled, the main oring seal under case back - not
- the dial printing doesn’t apperar thin
- the bridges’ order of operation was engraving, sunburst brushing, light polish
- OFFICINE PANERAI FIRENZE appears golden, not yellow paint

I'd love to see a comparison to the noob since that seems to be the gold standard.

I have an unmodded noob. If Polonus agrees, we could try and take some shots from the same angles.
Note that colors will not be comparable because of different camera setups, but we could have a good idea of shapes and finish of both.

I was going to hold off on ordering one in case they decided to correct the hands, this is really making me think otherwise and just biting the bullet and dealing with the hand issue at a later time!

the minute hand is slightly too wide, and the triangle tip has an arc shape on both sides instead of a straight edge. (could just be crystal distortion causing the arc shape)

100% sapphire distortion, fortunately.
