After much waiting, Angus has posted this rather casually on his website. The PAM372...

The obvious tell is the P.3000 clone movement, which along with not looking like the gen movement (which is the most that we can hope for), the finishing is rather not up to snuff.

The other thing that bothers me is the strap. I wish the factory would have included a nicer looking strap. Although we do eventually replace this with aftermarket straps, it would have been nice to come with something that looks similar to the gen strap like this picture.

But all in all, it's a rather good first showing for the maker that did this for Angus. This attempt sets the tone for the next rep in the pipeline for this maker (actually it should have been earlier but the 372 got released faster) for the PAM399.

Comments, thoughts? :D

The movement hurts my eyes...for these inhouse models, I can deal with inaccuracies but this just looks cheap (not the entire watch, just the movement). I'm hoping it's just poor dealer pics, and it looks like its worth $8000 bucks when it's actually in your hands.

Yeah, just the gaps in between the plates could have been done much better (like equal spacing) and the material looks plasticky. I hope Angus can post a video soon (of hopefully a better sample) to put those fears to rest. Yes, it's never going to be a 1:1 P3000 rep and people won't see it when the watch is attached to your wrist. But at least make it look good.

Now that you mention it I can see it. The plates alignment looks shocking!
Hopefully it can be fixed... as for the material, I reckon it's bad photography!

Jesus you guys have been spoiled. I think this looks awesome. That strap is nice and thick, compare that to the shite we used to get. It's only $258 and I think its damn nice.

I've been waiting for this one for a long long time.Glad it's finally here.Movement is far from perfect but I have the 375 with the same movement "decorations" and it looks better than plain old 6497 imo. Shame the gen doesen't have the same movement as 399, as seems easier to replicate. I will probably get the new 372 although LP etching doesen't seem to be bold enough (just compare the "O" letter for example). Can't wait to see what ALE and the bunch will say...

I guess we are. :) It stems from the fact that the previews Angus showed of the PAM399 movement (which looks more complicated) were looking great, so in comparison this attempt looks weak.

To be fair, both the strap and the movement issues are minor in comparison to the great work done on the things you can see, like the engraving on the LP (as well as the font) and in between the case lugs.

Here's the wristy that Angus posted. I'm actually quite amazed by the result overall, plus that they're able to do a good engravings between the lugs. Movement aside, which we know that it'll never be repped properly, I'll snap this up immediately if my money didn't already go into my franken 127. My actual concern is the caseback engravings as it seems not deep enough. Oh, and I was surprised by the look of the strap too. Kinda makes me regret to have ordered the OEM... but the hell, an OEM is an OEM. :D

More 372s! This time from etatw, not a TD here.

EDIT: He listed it as "V2" and I noticed that the movement plate is a bit different from the one on Angus' plus the CP seems to be ss now.

To me the "Luminor Panerai" is slightly too egg yolk in colour. The text should match the lume which is slightly off also.

more pics would be helpful, or a video from Angus.

As a past owner of the gen, it looks pretty good to me. The movement is obvious, but if the alignment were straight it'd be plenty good enough to fool non-WIS's

Otherwise it looks very good to me, case shape seems nice. Some of the case engravings under the lugs are wrong, but big deal.

As for the lume and dial engraving, they are different colours:

As you can also see from that pic, the gen strap sucks extraordinarily. I was massively disappointed init, to the extent that I never actually mounted it (either of them - there were two, both equally rubbish).

This is V1. The case is a big success.. If they further develop the p.3000 and fix some minor dial issues, it will be an even bigger seller..

I do like it actually. The case shape is very nice. But will wait for v2 :)
