I joined this forum a day ago after a few weeks of bumping into it through google searches. This is my first post here, and I wanted to make it a thank you. The comprehensiveness of the pam guide is truly mind boggling. Kudos. This place is amazing.

Hi Ale and everyone else with PCT,

I have a quick question. I'm pretty new to the rep world, but I've done my reading and haven't even had my PAM360 a week and already am sizing up my next one. I'm about to get the PAM111:

http://www.pureti.me/product/pam111-n-v3-noob-best-edition-on-black-rubber-strap-with-pre-v-hands/

I got this link from ALE's incredible Pam ref thread. My question is, this watch is rated a 'super rep' by both ALE and by puretime, looks great, but only has a three star rating on pure time's site. Anyone know why this would be? I see that there was one bad batch in November 2012 - would people who bought those dragged down the rating?

Thanks for your thoughts, and for the incredible amount of work gone into this forum. Can't believe how little I knew two weeks ago.

Cheers!

Hi friend
Thanks for your kind words
Regarding the watch PAM 111, above link is for the newest version Noob V3 and the best at this moment. No worries about that

Please don't bear in mind the advertisements and sentences form Catalogues of dealers, many of them are true , of course, but a lot of them are obsolete or just commercial announcements without value, when not commercial triks. These stars you are talking about mean just NOTHING.

Follow indications of PAM GUIDE

ALE

BTW:
PLEASE DON'T POST HERE QUESTIONS ABOUT SPECIFIC REPLICAS, THIS IS A THREAD FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS AND COMMENTS ABOUT PCTeam
IN CASE YOU HAVE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT A CONCRETE REP, PLEASE START A NEW THREAD BY YOURSELF.
IN THIS WAY YOU WILL GET MORE ANSWERS FROM MORE PEOPLE AND WILL GET BETTER INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR QUESTIONS
BESIDES THE STARTED THREAD WILL HELP MORE PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS.

THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT PLACE FOR THAT KIND OF QUESTIONS
THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING
ALE

Grimlocktime new PCTeam member

Please give a warm welcome to Grimlocktime as a new member of our PCTeam.
I’m glad announcing this deserved nomination.

Grimlocktime is actively participating in RWI and RG and get great knowledge about PAMs gen and rep. He is a good specialist in magnificent builds and PAMs in general.
Lastly, he is participating in our RWI forum sharing his builds and projects and writing helpful posts. Nowadays he is involved in the project of a complete review of all magnificent DSN Power Reserve reps.
Due to this knowledge and his active participation Grimlocktime has deserved this nomination.

I hope that he will continue actively participating in the future and will be a great asset to our PCTeam.

Welcome Grimlocktime, and thank you for accepting this nomination.

Hello experts! - As of July 2014, who is the best maker of Marina or GMT models? I read Noob is still pretty high quality but also came across a Z Factory rep that looks nice. What's your recommendation on both factory and TD? Thanks much. http://www.tswatchltd.com/14542-pa14542-pam351-p-z-factory-1-1-best-p9000.html

Do you honestly think this is the appropriate place for such a post ??

You have a general discussion PAM Section to publish this thread in an appropriate way and getting many answers from all members

And you have PAM GUIDE to read and learn a lot about this matter and to prepare a better and wise question to be answered.
Do you know there are almost 60 reps of Luminor MARINA, about 14 reps of Luminor GMT, abaout 8 reps of Luminor 1950 MARINA and about 7 Luminor 1950 GMT ? Them all with several versions and improvements from several makers.
And you are asking for the best "absolute" maker of MARINA and GMT models? Please note that makes no sense.

Please be careful in order to keep tidy and organized PAM Section.

Thanks for your kind cooperation

That Z factory 351 is a joke. Spend some time doing serious research and learn, learn. There are reviews you will find in order to make an informed decision.

Looking for some help here... I am a big guy and love Panerai. I am looking for a 47mm Luminor with the movements on the back displayed. I think it is the 111 I am interested. Any recommendations on the exact part number I should be looking for and which dealers might have them available? I'd like to go with the swiss movements so it lasts a while. Any assistance would be awesome.
