Yeah, I guess I did miss to mention the hazards of putting watch movements near magnets.
that would explain I couldn't do it with paper clip from the outside...One thing I found out at RG, the PAM661 most likely has faux lug holes. You can't get at them with the usual process like with the PAM616. You have to use a springbar tool (or a properly dressed screwdriver) to release the springbars to be able to change straps.

Just might have to pull the trigger here. Main hiccup is how a 44 x 17 watch works on a 6.75" wrist...
