Ale, would you recommend 622 over 587 for a 1940 radiomir rep?

Having Closed caseback with Manifattura movements, non engraved inscriptions on dial, and more simple sapphire crystal, PAM 622 will always be better

Anyone know if the movement is top loaded on this.

I can go check, any reason you need to know?

not very clear, iPhone only pic, sorry, but underneath the decoration plates are definitely two normal movement holding screws, so I'm going to say rear loader, but a ball ache to get the movement out

Crystal looks to be a little clouded and I wanted to clean it. I took the case back off but not seeing any movement tabs unless they are hidden under the decoration plates. Don't want to mess with removing it unless that's where it is.

If it's moisture, crack the case back very slightly and put the watch in a bag of dry rice for a week or so

Deco-Plates (look post#1):

- movement: bare bone Asian 6497 with decorative plates to mimic I don’t know what ;) I tossed them right away - since they were mounted with double sided adhesive tape, not so strong.

My experience is, that the movement-tab screws mostly are not tighten very well, so movement is not fixed as good as possible. I always have to tighten these tabs at my watches.

So I suggest, to remove the deco-plates and tighten the screws. (After that fix the plates with new and better tape - if you need it for your mind - otherwise toss it away and close caseback.

If you want to remove movement, you can do this on the back - it's a "rear-loader".

For (real) cleaning the inside of the crystal, I strongly suggest, to use BERGEON Rodico, otherwise you will get narrow with dust under the crystal.

No water damage just anal as can be lol. I have a waterproof tester on the way and excited to have all my watches waterproofed.

Really big flaw I noticed yet, is the fact, that hour hand has same broadness as minute hand.

Gen has more broad hour hand than minute hand:

Thanks. This could be a nice catch
But the rep has bigger minute hand width than hour hand
Maybe the gen difference is greater

rep hour hand is also thicker, seems pretty right to me. May be angle different angles of view made the difference.

I have checked - your both are right - but the difference is not noticeable by eye. Because it's too minimally.

ALE is right:
Maybe the gen difference is greater

Yes, greater difference on gen is almost evident, but in real size that will be almost unnoticeable
