So this basically fixes the unaligned date issues with the buff/other 324 date wheels? Mine has been really bothering me I would love to get one of these

I won’t advise to do that yourself if you don’t have the right tools or experience . Anyway you need to remove hands dial and remove 3 plates holding the dw in place

Thanks. I just wanted the information/tutorial so i could share it with a local watchsmith so he does the swap for me. I saw the pic about the three plates. That will help. Thanks again

I've had the keylog laying around for a while so I'm not sure of the batch but I've just installed this with the latest buff unboxed dial, which presents the alignment issues. It is certainly an improvement, probably because the font is slightly thinner than the buff. Unfortunately the problem is the dials not the datewheels. I have a first batch if the buff dial and that sits properly with the DW, but this is the boxed version and I prefer the unboxed.

I'm looking to spice up a 3kF v4 and was wondering what the experts will say to this claim I've read somewhere else. I know it's nitpicking but this makes even more interessting to me

This is nitpicking, I know, but with all the work being put into this build, I couldn’t live with the result, so we ended up buying a gen blistered date wheel."

Yes - the date disk is also comptible with the 330. The difference is only in the description and engraving - as far as we know 3KF did not do any changes to the mechanisms or movement architecture as a whole.

Even if they would have the date disk remains technically the same.

The 324 is not designed to have a seconds stop.

One way of simulating a second stop is to apply very light pressure in the anti-clockwise direction on the crown while setting the time.

This method lets the seconds hand jump a few seconds backwards or lets it rest as long as slight pressure is applied.

Personally i dont like this method as it doesn’t feel right - even though it may do no harm to the movement - it feels wrong haha

Easy : patience, let it on the side, it will stop when fully discharge, and then you can remove without any mechanical damage risk ;-)
