So I know I have been promising new PICs of the Eggis, I have been really busy with summer and the family and work has been crazy the last few weeks. I decided to take a breather and focus on something that would relieve some stress... So what better way to do that then to take some Pics of my latest additions.
I have described Survivor and have posted pics, and that first watch has led to the creation of the next two that follow. The first is the much anticipated 52mm Eggi. I received the watch and was going to have a strap custom made for it but a fellow member and friend offered me a strap that originally I had bought for another watch, but as fate would have it, it is the perfect match for this Beast...
The last addition was kind of a surprise for me since I wasn't planning on buying it, but the more I kept looking at Pratts thread, the more it kept calling my name louder and LOUDER!! Who am I to ignore the plea of such a unique piece. This one here I had a strap Custom made by Jeremy at PrimeStraps. I asked for something different and was excited on the outcome. But really didn't think it would make the watch so spot on. I will describe both straps and watches in a little more detail after some group pics of the perfect TRIO. I present to you the already familiar
47mm Survivor------52mm Leviathan
and
60mm HERCULES!!
For the next PICS I took a stroll to the machine shop. I brought along a few "Props" for the "shoot". My daughter saw them and asked me if I was playing with dolls... I told her they were "ACTION FIGURES" LOL, you will see what I am talking about.
I requested a strap from Jeremy at Primestraps since the strap that is on Survivor suits the watch so well. I figured I would not be disappointed and how RIGHT I was. The 60mm Eggi is a BIG watch the biggest I have in my collection. It is a MONSTER! I thought about having this one made for more of a "display" piece. But the strap Jeremy made for me actually makes this watch VERY wearable!!. I have worn it several times and it balances the watch very well on my wrist. I requested a canvas strap for this one and Jeremy surprised me with a vintage military canvas that he used to make it. It fits the watch PERFECTLY!!! I requested the strap to FIT the case and taper down to 26mm at the buckle but looks more like a 22mm. LOL The canvas had some markins on it which ADD to the great Character of this watch!!!
As far as the watch goes, like I said early on the post I just could not pass up this watch since it is so Unique. It is only the second Destro Eggi I have seen. Add the Sick Dial and aging Pratt did, this piece is a work of Art just like the rest of Pratterais.!!
I present to you
Hercules!!
WRISTIES!!
The 52mm Eggi i had sent to Pratt to work on and I know how much trouble it gave him. I felt kind of bad that it gave him such a hard time but the end result is very nice, I was very excited wen he finally showed it to me. I had already named the watch and had been waiting for it for several months. I was extatic whenit finally arrived. Even though it is 52mm it is very wearable for me. i can wear it and it doesnt really show that I am wearing a "big" watch. I have decided on this version for teh base of the next project, but that will be later down the line. I will let my friend Pratt rest for a bit.
The strap was an unexpected surprise for me. A friend and fellow member actuaally picked it up. It is a Corrigia vintage strap. 24/24mm and super Long with a sandblasted buckle. Its almost as if Ihad it custom made for it. Thanks to stockmover for this amazing strap that jsut MADE this watch and completed my Trifecta of Eggis!!
I present to you
Leviathan on Corrigia Vintage!!
Wristies!!
You are all familiar with the first one, Survivor. I did nto want to forget him and here he is along with his Brothers!
Thanks to All of you for bearing with me on this journey, I hope some of you will enjoy the pics. Thanks to Pratt for making these AWESOME PIECES that for some weird reason bring a lot of JOY and Satisfaction when I wear them. It helps my mind wander and imagine crazy adventures and stories that come with the History of these watches. I think that is the main reason I am so drawn to the brand. I have more pics I took over the summer with Leviathan and I will no doubt post some more on this thread when I take them out on "Adventures"
Enjoy Fellas!!
