@PAMaholic are you talking of something like this: http://amzn.com/B00Q2NZVWG >?

Hi umaxim,

I already have the 571 with seagull and am pretty impressed for consistency of thw movement. But i oiled the rotor to get it more quiet as seagulls seems to be pretty noisy when turning. Anyways, i had it mounted on a nearly same colored strap and imho it looked awkward. Best was the rubber it came with and a nice and rough cutted individual strap light brown colored and nubuk like.

What did you use to oil the rotor? I want to do this on my 571 & 569.

I used Möbius 9010. Same as for the ETA Rotor Bearings. Expensive, but worth it. It reduced the winding noise a lot.

Thanks, I'll grab some. Just remembered I have an Omega with a seagull. If it works on all three watches, it'll be well worth the expense.

Either use a sticky ball or buy generic case opener on eBay

Opening it is the easy part... after that i am lost with this movement and not really wanting to mess with it until it either breaks or needs a service. Let me know what you come up with

Yes, you have to oil the bearing on the downside of the rotor. But remember, you have to gently pry the rotor off. Even if it looks screwed down to the movement, it isn´t in Seagulls, just pressed on! So pry it off and then turn it around and oil the bearing with a small amount of oil (best is Möbius 9010, maybe you can use a thicker oil like Möbius D5. I think it won´t have any negative effect on the bearingfunction but due to thicker consistency, i would assume it will reduce more noise than 9010). Then just reverse the procedure and press the rotor to the movement back again. Finished and much more silent as before!

Hi guys, just received my QC pics. Thought i'd link em for anyone interested. Everything looks good but im a little unsure about the bezel as it doesnt look aligned to the 12 and 6 properly (can see it sits a little off centre at the 6) . Not sure if its the angle of the photo or not and have asked TD about it.

Accept it. The not aligned markers are mainly occurred through the angle of the camera. Anything else looks very good!
