Very tempted by this as it’s a 42mm, I’ve a 320 and a 44mm is a bit too big for me. Presume you asked PT for the extra presentation box - I.e it doesn’t come like that as standard?

What kind of movement is in this? I have the 904 and it's running slow. I'm assuming it's the same movement based on description

That watch is so damn beautiful. I’m waiting on mine to arrive. It’s stuck in DHL hell for the past 5 weeks. Your wait sounds insane.

Just FYI
https://www.panerai.com/ch/en/home/quick-release-system.html
GEN 927 have a quick release on the straps – REP do not.
GEN 927 have a thicker crown guard that the REP.
GEN 927 Strap stitching is gold, REP uses white thread.

Early on there were models with gold thread straps I thought.

As far as the quick release Goes, that’s not a big deal bin my opinion because it’s not a visual aspect of the watch either. I have never seen a luminor due in person but I always imagined the quick release was a function of the spring bar as opposed to the watch. If it is, maybe you can get a spring bar that releases. But I’m not sure... the fact that it only takes pressure to release it would make me slightly uneasy.

From my understanding the quick release is a function of the strap itself. The straps have a snap press type hook built where normal straps have a hole for springbars to go through so it lacks that hole

Ahh. Makes sense n I guess which goes to the point of - it can be added without any changes to the watch. Maybe.

It’s not too much press on the springbars and it’s very easy to do. Even cheaper springbars would hold up.

Bigger deal is the crown guard that is thinner on the REP than GEN. It’s still a nice watch but I would urge for guys to wait for V2.

The 927 unboxing
Watch looks amazing. Middle case looks to be titanium and the watch measure 14mm.
Leather strap is below expectations.

Hey John - Have you had any issues winding your watch? Mine has become a grind to wind it after only a few wears. I feel like it’s turning the entire mainspring. Any insight is helpful. Thanks!

Mine is working fine as of today. I had the same issue with another PAM, same movement.
I had to send it out for service. You need too I’m afraid. Where are you located ?

Thanks for the feedback. I’m in Chicago in the US. Any recommendations? I really like the watch but winding it is unbearable.

Did they ever explain what the issue was with the movement? I’m tempted to pop open the case back myself and take a look but even the case back is hard to get off ????

If you don’t own the caseback opener your next bet is a large size wrench. I have used those in the past. Just be care not scratch the steel. Remove the strap before you try this.
