I think either the PT or Cartel are good. If you have the skills, or a rep friendly watchsmith, the gold CP is an very easy fix. The dial really pops on the PT version though. Amazing pics!!!

I like the CG on the Cartel for some reason better.. Looks almost perfect in person and pics. The dial on the PT is nicer from what I have seen; the LP is nice and deep. Case wise, both look good.

What killed it for me was the golden CP even thought I can fix it, I am feeling a bit lazy nowadays I prefer not to open a case So, I go back to the nearly perfect CG and correct CP on the Cartel.. It's whats important to me, but that is me. As you can see the PT is a beauty..

He is referring to the canon pin that holds the hour and minute hand. It is capped with the color gold and opposed to stainless steal.

From what I know, Angus' is $20 cheaper but the strap is said to be like cardboard. If you plan on switching out the strap anyhow and can't decide which one to get, go that one.

In all my years I have never worn a Rep strap. They have always been poorly made. This watch is screaming for a nice fat custom strap. I have mine on a black 6mm thick strap made by gunny.

Latest CG comparisons

I have arranged and enlarged some CG pics for a comparison

Thickness at CG PIN side
- PT is just a bit thinner and Cartel is a bit thicker, almost no noticeable difference even with enlargement. Orange lines are placed at the same distance of GEN in three pics.
Lever PIN diameter
- There are seemingly some differences but it is a lighting effect. I think all three Lever PIN diameters are the same. See green lines
Lever PIN position
- PT has the PIN placed clearly inwards. Due to this reason maybe the CG seems thinner around the PIN
- Cartel version has the Lever PIN placed a illtle lower. See green lines
Roller Support
- PT roller support is a little thinner
- Cartel roller support is a little thicker
Engravings fonts and placements
- There are some differences between batches. I have seen some differences in QC pics and Wristshots
- Cartel and PT have bad placement of engravings in general
- Fonts are inaccurate. Mainly "R" is very noticeable.
- Following my experience with all pics observed, Pt has better fonts and worse placement overall.

It really shows we are splitting hairs over the two reps when it come to these areas. It will be nice to have both de-cased dials side by side. I am confident the PT dial will shine.
