today I took some outdoor shots in the finest winter weather. I wonder if I would be happier with a Gen. Well, at least not in terms of the price-performance ratio. The watch really exudes a unique simplicity and robustness. Lovely!

The CP issue is absolutely ridiculous because is the very center of the face of the watch! It was not a problem back years ago with the Noob best reps (111, 000, 390, 005 etc) and on a smaller scale with some H Fac reps. I never had a KV so I don't know about them. I hope VSF takes note of the problem or Noob decides to go back to its best practices and bring the level of quality up a few notches.

Gut my QC today and a bit disappointed with the CP, it looks sunken to me. Also amplitude isn’t the greatest neither the 9s/day. Any suggestions?

I don't know why VSF/XF or whatever they are called now has gone back 10 years or more when it comes to this particular issue when on V1 a couple of years ago the CP was correct and nicely polished. It is a serious QC problem! Look at the pic of the one I had up until last year:

To be honest, it's hard for me to tell from these photos whether the CP sank or not, but I trust your opinion, and recommend just rejecting if it bothers you, and explain to TD the reason, ask for a watch, without this flaw.
They will either give one, or they will say that it is not possible for them, in any case, it will be either a decision or information for the rest.

Yes, it’s slightly sunken, but when you look at the watch with naked eye you can’t see that....I know that because I have this XF Zero and didn’ t noticed that till someone in this thread pointed it out.

my TD told me that all XF 000 come with this issue,
will probably upgrade to a different watch because once I saw that issue i can’t unsee it now

Sorry to hear. Well, hopefully they will do the next batch normally ... After all, this is not so much a mistake as a manufacturing defect, and no major changes are needed for the factories to arrive in order for the CP.

You can allways upgrade and replace stock CP to ETA H3 cannon pin set.

For example pam005 xf, themannier solved this problem, and as I understand it, the question is not so much about the pin, but about the fact that the hole in the hands is narrowed due to excess paint, and therefore does not wear fully. If you don't try to follow his path, then most likely you will have to change hands, not CP, because it is not a fact that these hands will sit differently on H3.

thanks formte Info, was wondering how easy it would be to fix it, but getting new hands would be more trouble rather then just change the pinion

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone could confirm if the movement has the Panerai branded bridge/movement? One would have to remove the casebook to see it, of course. I ask because I have a 210 with a clear case back, but it is a generic movement without the logo. I was thinking I could either swap out the movements between the two, or even maybe just swap to the decorated bridge?

It would be a pretty cool upgrade to my 210 and I get a 000 to keep it company -- along with my Noob V3 111 and 1312 VSF :)
