Looks great. Nice flat CP and correcte CG pin. I had the V1 and my issues were the lume wasn't as powerful as the old Noob I had and the hands were not the period correct 'PreV hands' but it looks like they took care of them on this version. Can you show a lume pic if you have a chance. Thanks.

I asked a couple of TDs about the extra rubber strap and they say it's not available anymore. So it appears you can only get it on black leather now.

You mean the 005XF recessed CP, or the shape?

If about drowning, then this is rather the specificity of the assembly. It seems, so far, no one has checked, but I think it's just that their hands are not planted at the end.
When it comes to form, CP can be written in very different ways. It is almost never a perfectly flat piece, and if it is polished, it can give the effect of very different shapes in the light.
It is best to look at its shape from a photo, where the person who took the picture tried to exactly capture the shape, in random pictures, it may not look so strange.

And yes, this is a detail that can vary greatly from batch to batch, and even between samples.

Of course, we will not be able to answer the question "Why". It is a simple item and when it is out of order it is a "negligence" on the part of the factory. Almost all XF 000/005 now come with this flaw, but you have a chance to help everyone by trying to put pressure on your hands and trying to put them deeper. I think these are not fully dressed hands, but you can understand for sure, it will be possible only by trying. There is always a chance that the matter is in the gear, and you need to be careful that when putting your hands below, they do not touch each other, the dial and the second hand.
