Just got QC on my new Bronzo, and had to reject it. For those that have pulled the trigger... am I being too picky?
Thanks,
Mark

Not at all.
I rejected 3 before accepting my 382 and there was a lot less wrong with them.

That 30 marker is inexcusable! The TD (we know who it is by the female hands) must be going blind to even offer that piece up as anywhere near acceptable! Something is up with this TD as I received a different Chimera Bronze from him after approving QC pics. The number on the plate was different on the one I received and he admitted the swap, saying it was a mistake.

The mods need to look into obvious failings like this to protect members from receiving junk. I know it's a rep, but $300+ is not insignificant. The TD label needs to mean something.

I have a high tolerance for rep flaws, but I'm not quite sold on the bezel markers on this one either. A few look more sunken than others. If you can live with it, go for it.

Love my "KW" one of my very favorites, unlike others I do like shinning her up from time to time :punk:

Really bad-ass looking watch there.

Just curious - Do you guys think that the KW Bronzo has a more pink gold look than the real thing? Just comparing how the watch looks vs. some samples in chrono24. The gen ones look more yellowish, and KW looks more reddish.

It depends a lot on the patina

The gen without patina is actually pink. It really looks almost the same as above pic
KW has almost the same material as gen

That's a pretty amazing analysis ALE! And really impressive work from KW on working the right materials.

Pam382 Bronzo: Can someone tell me more on the Pam 382 from SF Factory with the Hour hand adjustable independently(Just like the Gen Panerai). How is the movement for this piece? Does it passed QC?

The problem is not the movement
The rest of the watch is not at the same level as competitors

Which part of the watch is not at the same level? Is it the case? I got a Pam 382 from KW, the bezel is loose and it not even water resistant(not to say waterproof).

I'm not too sure about this but I think water resistance is there.
If the crystal gasket is installed properly and sealed tight then the bezel shouldn't be an issue.
As it's a rotating bezel there should be some little gap for it to rotate. The watch case and the bezel is 2 different part with click spring in different position.

Maybe ale can chime in about this but I'm sure there's a teardown somewhere in the pam section.

To be sure have it tested by a watchsmith for water use.

I had mine tested and it was good at 4ATM.

I'm sorry I haven't read all 55 pages of this thread... wow.
I read the first page, quite a few there in the center, and then skipped to the end.
A few things that may or may not have already been addressed.

In all the pics where the 15 appears to be slightly askew clockwise, I believe it's an optical illusion based on the fact that it's right next to a minute hash that is clearly at an angle. If you rotate your bezel so the 15 is at the 12 o'clock position does it still look crooked?

The paper on the lever is probably there to stop the CG from marking it up while it's opened and closed during testing.

And finally, what is the current thinking in which PAM is the better (closer looking to gen) at this point in time?

Guys,

Just received this QC from a TD for a KW 382. I rejected it for a couple reasons, 30 Min marker is blemished at the "0", there is a weird scratch or discoloration on the case around the 7 hour marker and the date wheel is misaligned.

What do you guys think?
