One cannot make a statement like that without having the rep and gen side by side. Especially comparing an actual rep picture with unknown lighting conditions with a computer generated image on the OP website. If you check the images above from Trusty Time and Chazingtime, the dial color looks different even though they came from the same factory.

You can see the varying color differences on the dial for the same factory release. Even the way the titanium case looks differ from dealer to dealer.

It’s not a perfect solution but as a stop gap I’ve asked Ryan several times about colors in person vs photo and to his own detriment he’s been honest. He has them on hand and I asked him to compare the Dial color to gen. I trust entirely he will be honest. Will let you know when he comes back (I find he’s faster on email hence I did it that way):

@Gcnlm995 we get what you’re saying, and dial looks more gray in some TD pics. However the 1351 is an evolution of the 351 titanium with brown tobacco dial. In other PAM 4- digit references the main updates are case height, movement, and blue running seconds hand. Even the Panerai website states the dial is brown. So logically, the 1351 dial should be brown. But who knows if Panerai changed the shade of the dial. We shall see soon. And if your friend with the gen send you pics please share. Thanks [emoji6]

Sorry, the female interior decorator in me felt like paint swatches would be helpful. This is “tobacco” in Sherwin Williams matte paint palette. This brown/gray is very close to gen:

My hands are tied it’s thanksgiving. I was just trying to do what I could while waiting ... sorry if it wasn’t accretive to the discussion. I’ve got no skin in this game I just want to be helpful to those looking to buy it... normal people (non-RWI) have psycho in-laws to impress and watch-selfies aren’t high priority.

Like our thorough moderator Mysterio was saying, we can’t gauge the rep color from various online gen or TD pics. Too may variables. There’s no standard. Let’s wait for some QC and real life pics.
