@RYenZero Thank you so much for the review!

It looks superb! Also I thought that the strap color difference would be more obvious. But it is not at all. If the strap quality is decent, I think a switch to gen won't be necessary.

But thickness is worrisome. That's almost 16mm compared to gen's what - 13? Could you share some side pictures? Also when you put it on and compare with pictures of gen on wrist - how does it look to you? Is it comparable or is the thickness obvious?

Sorry for all the extra questions. But I am genuinely interested :)

As for the movement - I can't identify them based on the picture. But clone P.9000 will have jumping hour hand on 2nd position and no quickset date. Caliber P.900 should behave like any standard ETA or 7750 - it will have quickset date on position 2 and it won't have the fancy jumping hour hand. Since this is SBF/VSF release I assume it will have the clone P.9000 even though any ETA clone would be closer to gen in terms of the behavior. They could possibly even solve the thickness problem with a different movement, but I'm not sure about that. It is clear that clone movements are taking over.

Oh and happy new year! :D
Here are a few shots, wearing next to VSF PAM 1209 w/ Prof Crystal. Thickness is ~2mm more than gen (Gen is 13.5mm).

Wear it in good health! Despite the inaccuracies, it looks like a fun watch! How does it wear compared to 42mm Sub? Also does it seem much thicker and chunkier on the wrist?

Noticeably larger, but I am used to wearing 40-42mm watches. It wears a lot like the PAM389 if you’re familiar with that model.

A shame, from the pics the lume on the pearl at 12 is white, the lume dots aren't.. Then again could the AR coating on the crystal cause that? Maybe it's got a slight green ting? Maybe a clear double AR coating could fix that?

Quick, question... How does the strap release work before I start gouging at it with a sharp implement

Very nice. I wish VSF did the thickness correct. Was it hindered by the movement? Also is the lume color incorrect?

My new SBF PAM 1226 with freshly-installed Prof crystal. I have a friend who is pressuring me to sell to him but I may just keep it. Quite pleased with how it turned out. I have a few Gen Panerai straps, trying to decide which one I like best :)

Can you connect me with the doctor and the source to get the right crystal? I have the 1226 and 1229 and want to get the right crystals installed. Thanks! 🙏🙏🙏

Guys, this morning i wind up my PAM1226 and notice the hour and min arm was off. When i line up the min arm to 12 oclock mark, the hr arm looks like 20 mins into the future.
