Pam 111 V4

So after having lusted after a 000 I first bought a 112 when no 000's were available but sold it on but have still lusted over that 000 but again no decent versions available so I relented and bought a 111.

Just received it and bought both rubber and asso and currently loving it on asso.

Sold to me as a V4 but no idea of what version or what mix of versions it really is but I love it anyway so not too concerened but would like to know for interest sake so if anyone can tell me and theire is not too sick of detailing these watches I'd love to know what I have here just for knowledge sake.

Movement with Y shaped rep Incabloc and rep Lyre spring. Acceptable OP engraving
The case is not a perfect V4 but it is very close. Maybe, the same as previous watch, is a very very nice transition model between V3 and V4.
It is not easy to get better at this moment

I received my 111 the day before Festivus. I can say that so far i´m impressed. It´s a hefty piece and wears just fine.
Initially I was worried that it would look too large on my twig thin wrist, but no.

On another note, it´s interesting, that after days of poring over hi res images, scrutinizing details looking for tells/flaws, I was taken a back when i finally had it in my hand. All the things that were very visible on the images became trivial and almost unnoticeable on the actual watch. You would need zoom eyes (and for me to stop gesticulating) to be able to spot them on the wrist.

Now i must go strap hunting...

I did the exact same thing with my first rep. I'd convinced myself that the rep was terrible based on QC pics and questioned whether reps were for me. Once I saw it in person I completely forgot about those flaws that can only be seen with a telescope and enjoyed the watch.

Actually I don't even know what the differences between v3 and v4 are. Are they that big of a difference?

Hi RWI,

Greetings! I've just received my QC pictures for the Pam 111 v4 - with Y-Incabloc - from a TD(watermarks removed) on here - diving into ordering the product even though I understand it is really difficult to get a real, complete, v4 now

This is my first entry into the rep world, and unfortunately I have identifed two (one?) possible point of contention in this nice watch - not sure if these are reasons to reject the QC though.
1. As circled in the photos below, what appears to be a blemish which is visible in all 3 pics,
2. The engraving at the open-back looks darker/purplish in comparison to other reps, although I am really uncertain!

As a newbie, I appreciate the work done by our TDs and really wish to avoid being unfair in my demands, so I'm really interested to find out if the community here would approve this item for delivery, or if there are any others flaws which my (very inexperienced) eyes have missed... I am particularly bad with identifying dial alignments etc.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the PAM 111. I was just wondering if anyone recommends using a specific source? (i.e. ryan @ intime01 or BK or someone else). Also, I currently live in Hong Kong so should that influence my choice at all?

I read in your other comments on similar and said it's very hard to find a true v4 and most likely a mix v3. I am thinking this might be the case for mine also but none the less thank you for your help.

If at all possible, I would like to jump on the "what version of 111 do I have?" band wagon and put your expertise to work. If you have the time would you please look at these QC pics and let me know your thoughts? The only thing that my untrained eye can see is that it doesn't appear to have the sandwich dial. Surely this can't be the case but I am awaiting additional pics to confirm. Until then, what do you think about this one? Thanks in advance.

I have an idea. Might save you "some" time. I know some will still make the request of "Hey Ale is this a real V4 Pam 111?" You are a mod, right? can you go in and add to the OP of this thread and post some pics of V3 & V4 differences? Side by side pics with an explanation would be awsome. I know that I have looked at this thread about a thousand times and I have inspected the pics as well as my own watch and I think I could only pick out about half of the differences.

If you can't modify the OP maybe you could start a new thread.

I've just ordered "v4" and see just v3 sept 2012 with many links broken maybe by the forum rebuild)
