I'm a member foy years here, to read and collect experiences, so I can't resist to tell now, how I waiting for the comaprison.

If it made you post for the first time in more than 9 years, it must be something good.

That is the absolute truth as indicated by the photo by @PolonusTM. Gen is 15.6mm, rep is 17.24mm. There is a difference of 1.64mm. Not that anyone can eyeball the watch and say "hmm that's 1.64mm thicker" anyway. And nobody walks around carrying calipers, digital or otherwise. :lol: No worries. Now the rest of the replication efforts, this is what's more important. So we await the review. It would have been much better if KW sent @PolonusTM rep vs gen pictures (maybe they did). :lol:

Damn... I was so close to pull the trigger, even contacted the TD I used before...

Now my interest just plunged down like British pounds right after the brexit...

The any way to get a slimmer case is a thinner movement and i dont think that they are ready for that.

Those are the breaks. It is really hard to do without a suitable thinner movement.

this said it is quite a big difference, so maybe we wait for thinner v2-3-4-7..cos it's all about the slim profile this watch

Then prepare to wait, as we don't even know if this will have a V2. The first Carbotech, the PAM616, although very successful, still only has one version from KW/V6F, ZF and JF with only V6F being the closest (ZF wrong lume, JF subdial placement).

I don't think it's scratches, like Desmomonstro suspects, it may just be lint. Anyway, a simple wipe and retake a picture and any doubts will be dispelled.

The think is, 1.64mm sounds less but at the wrist is it much. We have the same problems with some AP reps. They are just 1mm to thick, but you notice that at the wrist.

exactly, i'm speaking cos I know AP reps...that 1/1.5mm is EVIDENT.

it does not stop us from buying reps but you can't say it is not evident
