Love my 005.....though the 243 is also a contender.....then the 438 has recently come into the mix which is making me think it would be the one for me. But then I still come back to the 005 ! If I still had my 111, it would probably be the one. Sorry....long winded answer !!

Sorry but I disagree with you, as what I've understood, that's the most accurate version so far. Great reviews about it as well. I have one and loving it so far!
Love my PAM's, I love my 088..funny, I was just reading about Stallone in Panerai 's own catalog, and basically how they would still be a relatively unknown brand without him. Its amazing a watch company would actually state this in there catalog...
I love gold hands and the aesthetic of these watches from the forties. All my PAMs (including gens) have gold hands. The quintessential pam is 372 IMO.

U need like 5... SS type and a ceramic type, that's two already. Then u need one without crown guard, and another standard luminor with crown guard, that's another 2. To finish that with something special, flyback doesnt work, so no need, maybe u need a bronzo or white dial.. so that's like 5. In between, u can choose with or without sec at 9, with a mix of auto and handwind and different dial type (sandwich a must). No need of chrono?
Look thru Ale's pam guide and find which to start with.
Then u start wanting better strap, u will go for some proper cow leather, then mayb something exotic like crocodile or ostrich, then something sexy like snake skin.

My issue with this question is it depends on what day of the week it is! One day it's 390, another day 243, and when I go out somewhere special it's the 389. If there was a fire and I could save only one then the 389 because it makes me smile the most. Horrible decision though... and I want to buy a Bronzo!

Really? when did you buy yours? It'll be great news, but i read some posts that the 2014 batch of v3, although same version so to speak, had some QC issues.
Bought it around one month ago from Ryan @intime.... It's on my wrist now.. Loving it! I might not be a picky person, that's why I didn't notice any obvious problems so far.
