It was mentioned that the people on this forum contribute 30% of their gross sales. A bit more than a 2% sliver.

Also, they are only doing a small batch of 100 watches to start.... they could modify some things on their first batch if they wanted to.

I thought 30% of the TD’s gross sales. Spread across hundreds of watches and dozens of factories.

Not 30% of ZF’s sales.

30% of TDs’ sales, not overall factory sales - there is a lot of non-TDs who move even larger volumes via various shady channels.

And factories source parts from suppliers with MoQs and hence we only see minor fixes whenever they finished off a batch of the parts e.g. min order qty for dials are likely smaller than steel parts. I only hope crystal and cyclops have lower MoQ so factories can start paying attention and pressed their suppliers to do better. But we are probably looking at a couple versions down the road.

I just thought from a marketing perspective it is super aggressive for ZF to price it this high and I agree market will decide - if the 350-400 tier offerings will win out. I for one need the rep to be very exceptional inside-out to pay 50% more to go to the 600 tier.

from the picture the black hole is non existent, the crystal is murky and with blue reflections, not clear, it also seems to be too tall. The clasp is trash.

On a positive note the green sunburst doesn't seem bad for the hulk, but not 558$ good

I am sorry but none of what you said is true. I am not saying this could not be the case but from the pics there is no way for you to say any of what just said. The pics are such low quality that for you to say anything about the crystal, black hole; or even clasp is a bit insane.

Not calling you insane. Just what you said. Wait until the pics come out and then you have every right to say what you said

i hope i'm wrong about the first 2 things, but regarding the clasp it's very bad, totally offset to the right, you can see space between the lock and the clasp on the top right.

Maybe it's something only present in that one, i really hope it's like that.

I get how it would like shit but there is literally tape all around the clasp. The tape by itself obscures visibility. I do not think for 588 dollars ZF would be that stupid enough to put a gap in their clasp. Especially because Angus told us he let ZF know to fix the gap.

Well yeah, but tape doesn't magically create holes, tolerance issues and offsets, we must stop simping for the factories at once.

Even if puretime told ZF to fix this gap, they must have already made a number of watches, so IF they will fix it, it's gonna be in the next release / batch.

It wouldn't be the first time that a factory releases a watch with zero to none upgrades (even if this is their first sub) so we are still giving them the benefit of the doubt, but this doesn't mean we shouldn't see stuff as it is in reality. See ARF, from V2 to V3 there hasn't been any real update, it was just another batch of the same release, with a different name.

Again, this is not me hating, i'm the first one hoping that this will be the "best sub" that has been hyped, i really wanted this to be the time when we didn't need to hope for a good crystal anymore.

So let's wait for some more pics. I really want to be wrong!


P.S. you tagged the wrong puretime, the guy you tagged was a look alike and got banned lmao.

Puretime hasn't replied in a while to our questions, so i guess we will have their reply when the new pics will be posted :)
