I'm at work, so can only show whats on my wrist right now, but here you go. And theres little to nothing between the manufacturing tolerances of Tudor and Rolex.

If you have a backlight (I didn't say any lighting), you will see a gap, mainly because the light will blow the highlight on the inside edge of the lug / SEL making it look bigger than it is.

This is a fact, and one which I know well because I commission photography for the watch and jewellery sector (including shooting Rolex for high street chains). It's always something that gets sorted in retouching.

Furthermore, if you're expecting better tolerances on a $500 fake than this $3,500 gen then you're on a different planet.

Nope, not expecting better tolerances than a 3500 Gen. Never said that. Better tolerances than lower priced reps from different factories, though? Yes. And they failed miserably in that regard. Taking macro shots under harsh lighting will show it's not stuck to the lugs like glue. I am not surprised you have had to macro shot for this. Very understandable for the watch to show whatever is in between.

The shots on intime are not nearly as highly magnified and under as harsh lighting. If your watch was shown in the same manner as on intime it would look pristine. Now imagine if the ZF was shot the way your watch was. It would look horrendous.

SEL’s in the TD photos are BAD.

The clasp still has the huge gap that Angus said the factory would fix prior to release.... they did NOT.

The datewheel looks like a kindergarten student wrote the numbers

There seems to be a gap between the bezel and the case.

The crystal appears to be a typical rep crystal with the blue hue cyclops (they were supposed to have an awesome BH crystal that was very close to gen)

Sadly this is a letdown in my book. Good news is: there are lot of other releases coming!!!

The ZF had the most hype thus far and might end up being the worst of all the new releases. We won't know more until we see pictures of a consumer product - personally I won't be taking the plunge, but someone will - hopefully they'll be nice enough to share their experience.

RXF/VSF have proven to be do nice work for a reasonable price. They did great with the LN, how well they do with the LV (harder to rep) only time will tell.

I think there is hope for the ARF v4 - in my opinion their metalwork is great on some of their reps.

ZZF had a fantastic release with their hulk, so I think their V3 release has potential as well.

The key is simple: be patient. Wait and see the actual products, then decide. Hype doesn’t matter, end results do!

Even zzf without a date do right ..
It's weird that in green both zf and zzf do it well and in black not ..

I think this will be the best model of 2020. Once QC pics are out and there are real clear pictures everyone will see.


The only one that might be as good is VSFs new watch but I do not think the dial will come close to the ZF.

This is my take as well. I've been here for nearly 4 years. New model threads have always gone a similar way to this; The '50' being too close to the glass on the ARF Submariner, the sharp teeth on the ARF Sea-Dweller bezel, the comedy rehaut on the ZZF... And the absolute shit fight that was the launch of the JF 16610 - ripped apart at launch, and yet it ended up being their finest hour, with members now lamenting that it's discontinued.

Everything that initially makes a new rep a 'rip off', and 'unwearable' and 'nowhere near as good as the cheaper and betterer X, Y or Z' will either turn out to be a non-issue or it will be fixed in time. Always.

Absolute let down by ZF. 2 of their recent Marquis releases - The Hulk and the AP 15202 are both throw aways. Well, the search for a "good" ootb Hulk continues, until then I will enjoy my modded builds...
