Ahah, no thanks it's clear. Possibly there is one correction to be made b/c the A8900 with date @6 is listed as 40mm by TDs

So here we are taliking three generations of AT iordered by time of introduction:
  • A: 41mm / vertical line dial / date @3 / A8500 (the famous Bumblebee is here)
  • B: 40mm / horizontal line / date @6 / A8900
  • C: 41mm /laquer dial / date @6 / A8900
At least B and C also available in 38mm but never replicated so far.
Spot on. I think the 40/41mm depends on the TD, as in reality it should be 41mm. But size isn’t everything… at least that’s what I tell the wife.

Been waiting for VSF to make the new black lacquer AT since the gen dropped as I'm absolutely in love with the watch. Very disappointed with this initial release though mostly due to the bracelet. They bothered adding the micro adjust (which is still a massive step up) but couldn't be bothered to properly update the bracelet itself?

Given that the AT wear large and is all dial I am also annoyed that they don't make the 38mm version, but I am not at all surprised. Factories prioritize the demands of the Chinese domestic market which tends to favor big and flashy. Understandable that the mid-size cases tend to be the odd man out but still disappointing. Hoping that VSF rolls it out at some point.

I’ve got the 41mm teak in green and an older 38.5mm in blue.
Both wear great on a 7” wrist

For this slightly more dressy plain laquer dial I think the 38mm would be best.

May I ask where and when you bought the older blue 38.5mm?

Looking good @bemeforaday. I’ll be silently stalking your wristies until CNY is over, and then will make the call on whether I need this in my collection (pretty sure I do)
