Am i being quick to judge, or did they ignored the president bracelet entirely?
Ah that sucks! The one thing I really like about this black lacquer Aqua Terra was the president bracelet, to differentiate it from my other ATs 🤨

I was waiting for 38 to come, they did not even do proper 41. I'm done with VSF, going to buy the gen.

Now i have to find out best country for vat refund on eu to non-eu residents, i would be appreciated to have an insight from anyone experienced.

Love the black dial but 41mm is still too big for me
I am still not entirely sure why the 41mm is so much more popular than 38mm. I had a 41mm AT and its far too chunky (thickness), rep or gen. I get they invested shitton in 8900s, but they seriously need to start getting these models thinner, hell, all of seamaster range needs to get 1-2mm cut off.. Like, I love the PO, but this shit is unwearable, except 1948 LMPO, which is right on the maxiumum. My humble opinion, but then again, this is my personal taste

Right on. For your info, 38 also solves the thickness problem, 1.1 mm thinner than 41

100% agree
Anything beyond 14mm is just unwearable

That's exactly what I don't get with VSF.. Just produce the 38s already. It seems symptomatic with the whole rep industry (outside niche communities like RWI) - if it's a fake, it also must be inherintly loud and obnoxious 😅 I just hope that's not the vast majority of the rep market, people who flex instead of enjoy, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense..

(Omega still needs to fix their shit regardless)

Most of those cases the watches own the wrist, not the wrist owns the watch. Exact opposite of the main idea of carrying a jewel. It's a twisted world.

I would have thought the 38mm would have suited the local markets better, and a shame about the bracelet, oh well, the wait continues.

Sorry guys, I am not an Omega-head and I am a little bit lost.
VSF has a 40mm AT with A8900 (currently on a very good price also) that looks awfully close to those 38/41 models, with date window @6.

Is that the old model that was replaced in 2024 by the model discussed in this thread?

VSF also has a 41mm AT with A8500 (date window @3): also for this model I cannot find an equivalent on the Omega website: it is another discontinued model replaced by the new 34/38/41 line?

Thank you for any clarification!

Yep AFAIK the latest VSF ATs match the Gen 41mm with date window at 6 and A8900. These have the horizontal ‘teak deck’ pattern (wooden floor).

The older 41mm with date window at 3 has the vertical pattern and older movement A8500 (along with some that have a wave dial) - Omega no longer produce these.

This new ‘black lacquered’ dial is Omega’s latest AT offering (along with the new ‘shades’ variants that run alongside the ‘teak deck’. Sadly VSF have never repped (old gen and current gen) in 38mm. I hope I haven’t confused you even more lol, I have a habit of doing that :ROFLMAO:

Ahah, no thanks it's clear. Possibly there is one correction to be made b/c the A8900 with date @6 is listed as 40mm by TDs

So here we are taliking three generations of AT iordered by time of introduction:
  • A: 41mm / vertical line dial / date @3 / A8500 (the famous Bumblebee is here)
  • B: 40mm / horizontal line / date @6 / A8900
  • C: 41mm /laquer dial / date @6 / A8900
At least B and C also available in 38mm but never replicated so far.

And all I really want is the old JHF 38.5mm.
