That one of the risks of this hobby , imho, one that should always be considered, and why I stick to reps that replacement movements can be sourced easily. A new seagull ST1812 is around 100$ and if you have a steady hand, can be swapped in with minimal tools. A proper font black date wheel can be swapped in at this time as well. For me this aspect of the hobby is what makes it so fun. Maybe not your cup of tea but learning how to do this stuff can save you hundreds and perhaps even thousands of dollars over the course. You could spend that money on getting a nice gen ETA that has been adjusted etc. Something to consider... & There are a lot of resources for you to take the hobby to the next level.
Is the st1812 a better movement than the a2892 or just an alternative or is it the same thing?
xartan that one’s pearl seems to be sitting much lower inside the triangle than mine. Also my date is very well centred. Just my 2 cents
xartan to be honest at the moment I'm too scared to adjust the watch since it started running again, haha. I have never posted pics here before. let me see if I can figure it out then I will post some.
xartan ok here goes. https://postimg.cc/gallery/1iu8r8kfk/ let me know if they are good enough. lighting is difficult in the office now and I'm not a good photographer.
xartan yes I tried to get the camera lens straight above the date. if I take a normal pic, then the date appears to be more on left on pictures. do you see the difference in the pearls however?
