Looks like Puretime has uploaded an omega rep strap looks to be in the quality of OEM. Price is not yet available yet.

I was going to ask if anyone had experience with the timefactors deluxe nato straps. the timefactors price point is very appealing. any chance you can take a few comparison photos?
Here the timefactor deluxe

I just ordered the time factors strap, I'm going to attempt to see in the 007 hardware from the spectre rep strap.

Obviously I mean sew. I was going to get the phenominato but didn't want to waste £40 ruining it if my needlework skills aren't up to par

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

Tricky bit is the time factor strap is glued together, you probably have to use nail varnish remover to dissolve the glue to separate it.
Phenomenato has the advantage that it is sewn. So you can use a seam unpicking tool to cut the thread, and then use sew back together easily as the thread holes are already present.

I have a 2nd hand gen omega nato (stock, non 007 version) coming in and I'm wondering if I want to make it a franken 007 nato....

The other option is to cut small slots in the 007 hardware so it can just be pushed in. I tried to order a genuine spectre strap but the omega boutique said it's only available if you have the spectre watch, don't think the rep counts

My TF is heat sealed, I have a few different ones so I experimented and it comes apart cleanly and easily with an Xacto knife.

You have bigger balls than me to try modifying a gen strap  but then again it the hardware is just sewn in so same principle as any other strap I guess! Keep us posted!

Yep, although they do show up on eBay fairly often in the $250-300 range. Someone scored a heck of a deal on this one just yesterday.

So what glue would you use to stick it all back together, or would you sew it

wow that is one hell of a price! although the buckle is missing so if you want to go oem all the way that's another $60-$70.

puretime nato has price now $58, for an unbranded nato strap. imo that's waaay too expensive.

I just got the gen omega nato, it is 22mm, the rep spectre nato is 21mm. I just tried fitting the gen nato through the rep strap keepers and buckle, while they do fit, it rubs again the sides of the strap more than the gen hardware does. I don't think I will go ahead with the franken strap, I don't want to cause increased wear on the sides of the strap from rubbing against the metal.

Anyone know if the gen spectre nato is 21 or 22mm?

I am leaning towards the phenomenato, just for that slightly more premium feel and since it is already stitched then its easy to restitch as the thread holes are already present. I tried shortening and restitching a nato with thread holes and the stiches ending up being a bit zig-zaggy.

Gen Spectre strap is 21.5mm

Let us know how the Phenomenato hybrid comes along. Really can't say enough about their straps. I just wish the buckles weren't sewn in so I could swap over a rep or gen Omega buckle. Thought about snipping the buckle pin with wire cutters but I'm too scared to ruin such a nice (and expensive!) strap.

OK so the 22mm time factors nato is too fat for the omega buckle and keepers from the rep strap. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the omega one otherwise I'll just end up buying lots of alternatives like the alphashark and phenominato with possibly the same result then buying the oem nato anyway,

I have the 20mm timefactor and fits properly my 21mm IWC pilot chrono so I suppose they are OK for the spectre

Yeah my 22mm time factors strap is near enough 23mm so it makes sense if the 20mm is a bit bigger too.
I'm not buying any more alternative nato straps though,I'm going to get an omega one at Christmas I think

ok guys I have done some measurements with my digital calipers,
gen omega nato is 21.5mm, the inner width of the gen metal keepers are 22.5mm
rep omega nato is 21mm, the inner width of the rep metal keeps are 21.4mm

so the rep keepers will fit the gen strap but will rub against the edges of the strap more so will created increased wear and tear.

now if any of the other natos are really 22mm that means they would be slightly compressed when the rep metal keepers are fitted.
would anyone have digital calipers and the straps to be able to measure the true width of the time factors nato and the phenomenat (20 and 22mm versions?) ?
