OME Maker 5712 New release

I'd want to get the basics right.

Dial colour
Moondisk the right colour, or close enough
Pinions that don't look like omelettes
Proper end links
Functioning power reserve
Correct moondisk movement
Decent lume finishing

I don't need the case to be 100% correct, as long as it's close enough. Recessed crown would be nice, and ideally 8.5mm or thereabouts thickness. Extra bracelet polishing would be a nice bonus too.

Personally, I'm less concerned about the back end of the watch, so full engraving and 22k rotors are not my priority unless I'm going for a high end build. I'm sure others would have different priorities, and that's fine.

And no BMW X5 please. They're frightfully vulgar.
Lol.. why would you get a 22k rotor?? Possibly the worst mod in terms of price/performance.

Its not. With a gold rotor the watch will actually wind itself. This movement is made from too soft metal, always hand winding it will break it eventually

Got the watch in hand today. Feels well built and premium after the SW dial and pinion mod. In fact everything is good other than the fact that it is 9mm thick!!!!

That's a pretty big bummer for me as I specifically wanted a gen (8.5mm) thickness watch). Before ordering I even watched various Chinese videos where they measured the watch thickness at 8.5mm. In fact that's what prompted me to put in an order in the first place. Oh well, guess I got to be the guinea pig on this particular model...

Some pics:

Hello mate. Do you have SW vs OME dial pics comparison by any chance? I think there are differences between Gen dials too and OME is more correct version of the new Gen version (2024-2025), or am I wrong?

Just received these QC pics for an OME 5712. I noticed right away that the clasp was wrong (for OME). Does anyone know if this is an update, or if this is the wrong factory? How does everything else look? I plan on doing a sw dial (if needed), and pinion mod update.

Yep, I have the original dial the OME came with sitting in a holder and the SW dial currently in my watch. Maybe the original OME dial is an earlier version of the SW dial but there are definitely differences (e.g. my updated dial has thick dots at the 5,7 hour markers while the original dial doesn't).
Thank you mate. And in terms of colors and light reflection are they very different? I’m just trying to decide whether to go with OME or PPF=>SW route.

Dial looks right, but the clasp isn't.

How’s OME dial compare to SW? I think OME dial is less green in terms of color? My biggest issue with SW is it’s too green.

Right SW, left OME. They are not the same
I obviously cant be 100% sure if it is or isnt sw but that date subdial printing screams sw to me, me personally i’d leave the stock ome dial in tho, i really like the color and even the square 6:00 looks better than the sw

Such a shame ome didnt add those dots, i really like em, but i believe the ome dial is still pretty good. I might get an ome with a freesprung movement and pinion fix tbh.

SW is pretty much spot on color wise, ome isn’t bad either. It has to be a little bit green. There are some comparison pictures when sw first released and the color is pretty much the same as gen.

If you really want to get into details, ome messed up with the small dots at 5 and 7. I don’t really care that much but if you really want the closest to gen go with SW

Just noticed another little thing: the lume strength on the SW dial doesn't match the lume strength on the OME hands (hands have stronger lume). Presumably the OME stock dial also has stronger lume than the SW dial.
