This looks interesting, as an out of the box already modded option.

If anyone can find out a price, let us all know!

Regarding the color of the Central and Date pinions heads, from what I have seen on internet, I am under the impression that there have been gen 5712 with a silver color.
If I am not wrong, gen 5712 has identical center hole for the PR and date hands. I am wondering if the PR pinion on OME could be adjusted and its hand replaced eventually.
Concerning the case size, I think that gen 5712 is 40 (10-4 o’clock)x38mm with a height of 8.52 as per the PP site, or 8.8x as seen in some online content. PPF case is advertised as 41mm. I cannot say if this the PPF case size is wrong?
The case back seems screwed on the back of the case and not with screws from the top of the case.

Looks like dial+pinion mod is still needed, otherwise is a good release. What's the thickness can I ask? It seems like it makes a very good base to start from.

Looking at various pictures of this watch from dealers, reddit, and here, it's odd that the power reserve hand pinion looks larger in some pics than others. It's probably hard to spot on the wrist, but I would certainly pay a little extra to get that fixed.

Why do you think a dial mod is needed? The color seems pretty good, the hour index markers are a bit flat, but not terrible. The macro shots above show some curvature at least. Not 100% gen-like, but pretty similar to the current SWF offering (and good luck seeing the difference without 10x macro magnification). I am seeing a lot of pics with misaligned 12 and 6 o'clock markers, including the ones just posted by @SHB. Hopefully a few rounds of QC or a conscientious dealer will locate the reps with aligned markers. Are there other problems with the dial?

This seems like a good OOTB substitute for the $1300 PPF with SWF mods that has so far been entry-level to a respectable 5712.

As for the PR pinion, compare these two pics of the OME 5712:

vs.

In the first pic, the PR pinion is acceptable to my eye. In the second, it looks like the factory used a nail instead of a pinion, and may not be acceptable to many. I'm curious to see what people ordering these wind up with in their QC photos. Hopefully more of the former and less of the latter.

Sad that there's no tungsten rotor and therefore this remains a manual-wind watch :(

Did anyone get QC pics for one of these yet?

Trying to limit my enthusiasm with the markers on their promo images being that bad etc.

Sorry. What do you mean ?

I have had issues with trying to get the rotor to spin on the PPF version. I always thought it was an oiling issue, not a rotor issue. Are there any fixes ?

it has to spin in the anticlockwise direction to wind the watch. the 240 clone movement needs a heavier rotor otherwise it can't do that

Basically 5712 - the rotor can keep the watch charged but will never ever power it. When I wore it daily I had to wind it every 3 days to keep the PR up. It's a known issue.

The gold micro rotor on the 240 Patek is not just for bragging rights, it's physics - you need a heavy rotor to drive enough kinetic energy to wind the mainspring.

The PPF V1 used a decorated Hangzhou 5000A, which does a good job in self winding.

I wonder if the rotor in that one is heavier than the 240 clone rotor or the movement just less power hungry (maybe the omitted PR indicator function helps)

I've had mine for over a week and it's running fine. The only time I wound it was on the day it arrived. As others have mentioned, it keeps charge with use.
Edit for clarity: I'm using the clone movement in the PPF, can't comment on the movement in the OME.

I always thought the issue was mine was oiling. Is there an after market mod or tungsten rotor? I desperately need it. Mine doesn’t charge properly unless I treat it with heavy hand movement.

Mine is fully serviced. Again keeps the watch charged but will never increase PR. If I keep it on wrist 18 hours a day it'll still lose a teensy bit of PR each day. It works best at around 24hr PR.

Yeah. Same scenario. An Apple Watch basically trying to reach my fitness goals by keeping the PR up.
