just ask any of the dealers you've bought from before, see if they can find you a bracelet or just a clasp.

I never thought I would say this - but I actually like the old clasp better. I have both. While I enjoy the convenience of the glidelock adjustment abilities - it's too big and bulky for me and all those parts make me feel like it's going to fail...

The original oyster flip lock is just so simple and fail-safe.

Ironically, I had been a critic of Rolex clasps in the past - now I love them!

I know what you're saying. Although I feel the new clasp fits well with the slightly larger case and solid mid links of the new subs. I tried the new clasp on an older style sub and it felt so wrong in comparison to it.

True. The glidelock fits the newer chunkier cases best. I'm on the fence. I like both old and new - leaning towards preferring the older style watches.

Is it me or did the old style clasp feel cheaper... not saying the gen doesn't feel the same way, but still cheaper in feel.

Depends, even the gens feel flimsy to a certain extent. But I would say my WM9 LV is as close to a gen feeling bracelet and clasp as a rep could get.

IMHO they totally felt cheap - but they worked really really well w no fuss or failure. The glidelock (rep and gen) reports a fairly high failure rate.

What you mean high failure rate? Like what's the most common?

Yeah ive read the same over on the gen forums. I guess it's due to it's construction. Whilst the fliplock was a very simple and sturdy design the glidelock incorporates an awful lot of aspects and pieces into it. If even one of those little pieces were to fail then the clasp itself is unworkable. Whereas on a flip lock all it took was a simple bar or pin to fix it really.

I totally agree. And I also was one of those guys who complained about how the cheap tuna-can clasp didn't go with the rest of the watch. As marvelous as the new Glidelocks are, they just seem too delicate to trust.

I had a DSSD clasp on a Noob 16610 for a while... the clasp was bigger than the watch was

You guys jinxed me, my DSSD Pro-hunter clasp just broke... Super-glued it back, lets hope it holds...

I wouldn't trust super glue metal on metal. especially not on a moving part or a part that has alot of stress on it.. your best bet is something like a metal epoxy.

I dont get it, Why not spend the extra on milling it out of a single piece of metal and carrying the cost over.

it would probably take 3 times the material to do that.. much much more expensive and much longer time to produce each unit.

this makes me worried now.... should I not workout on my DSSD now / do any fun activities w/ it?
