I have had the watch for about a week and have no issues with the movement, PR or flaking. Maybe you just got a bad one? I'm getting about a good 40+ hrs. I didn't wear it some days as well and no issues then either

Could well be, but given my experience and the experience of other posters in this thread there seem to be metal flake issues, movements running intermittently issues and one owners who received a DOA watch but solved the problem with the removal of a broken screw from the movement of his watch. Speaks to either 1) poor construction 2) poor qc or 3) rushed construction.

Ouh... for the same reason I sold my 586Q Panerai to chronomate, 158 grams is just too heavy for my taste and the comfort area of wearing timepiece.

It's more about the shape of the case back which creates the overall massive feel on the wrist, as mentioned above - I like it flat. Doomed caseback shape of the most of the automatic watches - that's not my thing.

I do indeed feel it has been rushed for CNY, I've ordered one for my brother, it arrived with movement issues where the datewheel would get stuck halfway through a change , and would only be corrected to the next correct date after a whole 24 hour cycle. Lume application is slightly flawed too, with uneven surfaces easily spotted under bright light conditions. Sent it back for a replacement and will see how it turns out

Received my Big Pilot Prince today (February 8th). Here are. My pros and cons for the watch:

Pros

Nice weight to the case.
Accurate blue color dial.
Smooth sweeping hand.
Good Date font.
Acceptable strap
Case back engraving.

Cons

Very poor lume on indices. Hands have a stronger lume than the dial but they appear to be different colors - blueish hands and greenish lume on indices (something for version 2 which is probably why it is so poor).
Keeper loops on strap are thin and too big in size.
Strap the wromg color. OEM has saddle leather in a reddish brown color.
The part of the buckle deployant buckle with "IWC" looks too big/odd compared to my Big Pilot's with the faux power reserve.

Overall

Nice watch but the lume is very disappointing for a Big Pilot especially when the lume on the 5002 and 5004's with the faux power reserve was so strong and well done.

unfortunately this happens even on a gen Rolex from an AD, yesh different lume color on the hands, dial markers and pearl on bezel...!
