^ Thanks guys. The VC is better I reckon. It looks more classy and the Tourby cage is nicer to look at - I'm not sure if they use the same tourby movement but I am amazed how accurate they are.

I'll shoot some more pics of the AP during the day - its night now here in Sydney so pics will be crappy. I say buy it you wont regret it. I've got an IWC Mystere tourbillon incoming also. Cant wait
Thanks buddys... Im looking forward to your pic.

Thanks @peterpl your post pushed me over the edge. I'm going to get the SS VC patrimony. Any chance you can take a movie of the movement? Would be MUCH appreciated.

I'm actually a bit disappointed in my VC Malte Tourbillon. It does gain and thus tends to sit in a drawer all the time. Unlike the rest of my watches, it looks as though it would be a horrific job to do anything to adjust the regulator. Has anyone tried this? The particular watch I don't think is important, since they all seem to use the same basic movement with different decorations or outer cage design but all with the regulator tucked inaccessibly in the middle..

Exchanged the flat ended Santoni strap for a round ended one, it now nicely clears the case and doesn't rub against it anymore!

Maybe try to take it into a watch service? Might be ~$60-100 but it would be worth it if it pushed you to wear it. If that doesn't work, try to contact one of the repair folks on this forum?
theflyingdutchman - new strap looks lovely! Pics... not so much haha, need some wheat to go with all that grain.

You wont regret the VC Patrimony. I think the gen is gold/white dial so the SS is only a fantasy. I think its very close to the gen actually even the back looks spot on.

I'll be getting 2 more tourbys. IWC and VC Malte. The Malte was out of stock when I got these.

^ Cool. Problem with the platinum edition is that the dial is a silver/sparkle. I dont think the rep has that - it is just flat white.

That's what I was thinking, I really like this ss version better. Well, it's not like I'd bump with someone who has the gen lol. Let's wait for majwilliams0308 to take the plunge :D

Thanks for your reply. In the UK it's impossible to find anyone who'll even touch a 7750, let alone a Chinese Tourbillon I'm afraid.
I extracted it from the drawer this morning. Looking at it again, if it comes out of the case easily, it might be possible to tweak the adjuster from the front. But it's my most expensive rep, and I don't want to destroy it!

What is the AR like on the VC? On my IWC it was bad and cost another 200€ to fix!

Make sure the Malte hasn't still got the spelling error on the dial 'RBGULATEUR'. Mine has it, though I confess I never actually noticed until someone mentioned it on here.

Yeah I know about the miss spelling. How long ago did you get the malte? I think all the new ones the spelling has been corrected.

To me its quite good - but its a white dial so on white dials the AR is less prevalent than your sunburst gray. I had your one but returned it due to scratches on the dial and I will be getting a replacement soon but I thought it was OK the AR. Not the best but not real bad on the IWC Mystere

A quick heads-up for club members who already have or wish to purchase the IWC Mystere tourbillon. Couple of weeks ago, I picked up mine to wear and noticed the minute and hour hands were misaligned as depicted in this photo:
8c6ea310df1c23448bd0960c2521846b.jpg

The tourbillon and seconds hand worked but the hour and minute hands were not in sync with each other.

I remember theflyingdutchman reported a similar problem with his too a while back:

I don't want to alarm anyone, but it seems to me there's an inherent problem with this version of IWC tourbillon. My advice will be to steer clear of it until we have confirmation to the contrary. Mine is back in China for repairs. I'll keep you updated.

That's really bad news. I was really keen on ordering one after you. Lucy is my go to dealer too, if she can't find one for you, that means none for me too :( Good luck bud, hope you got yours.
