that is looking really good. i see they refinished the tourby bridge to a better polished look. it use to look almost sandblasted.

I remember watching your Breguet tourby review and your comment about the tourby bridge. You're right, nice to see this polished look on the bridge. Nice to see you here again in the forum buddy :D

I have a noob question.
I'm looking for a cheap tourbillon watch (<220 USD).
Can anyone tell me if the fake tourbillons are moving at all (but without it's original function of course), or are they just fancy skeleton like holes in the backplate that do nothing?

I saw some youtube vids from reps searching along this forum, but they are all from +500 EURO/USD watches while I'm looking for a watch less then 200 EURO.

Thanks jai, its good to be back.

Nils, you can get an open heart movement, which is what is considered a faux tourby. They're more in the 80euro mark. The escapement does not rotate (definition of a tourby) but what they usually do is attach the seconds hand directly on top, so that the seconds hand spins making it look like there is something moving in the balance wheel area.

Does anyone with a slim wrist (6.5") own a Portuguese Mystere tourbi?

If yes can you please post a wrist shot?

I want a tourbillon and decided the Mystere is the one, I'm loving it.

But I'm worried it will look like a plate on my wrist.

Hi rek, I dont have 6.5" wrist but I can tell that it wears smaller than most 44mm PAMs... My portuguese is the same size I believe an its great, i love it!!! Here is a shot in my 7.5" wrist... Good luck with your buy...

Thanks much Atahualpa.

It looks great on you but your wrist is 1" larger than mine. I wear 44mm Pams and to be honest, in photos it looks borderline too big for me.

I have a quartz Portuguese chrono, 42 mm case, and it twists a lot on my wrist. It doesn't want to sit on top of the wrist. The strap it came with is stiff and doesn't mold to my wrist well at all, that's part of the problem.

This is sad, I think the Mystere tourbillon will be too big for me, at $800 it's a big gamble.

Just bought a gen santoni strap to go with it... (Not pictured here)
