Fantastic piece mate! Wow! What a stunner. Love the purple color. How do you like it?

Is this 13 mm in thickness?

Hello jm_brc_7057 ,

Loving the dial! A bit unusual, but extremely impressive or attractive!

This one, a R8F, is 13mm thick.

I have 4 AP tourbillons, JF (11mm thick) and R8F. You can notice the difference in thickness - JF wears better, but even so R8F did a great job.

Best,

Best,

Thanks buddy. Yeah i love the dial too. It's really nice. Not only the color but also the sunray pattern is extremely attractive. Gives it a lot of depth.

Oh okay. Thanks for the imput. Have you measured it buddy? 11mm for the JF is very good. The gen is around 9mm. So it's only 2 mm extra, which is not much IMO.

My pleasure, mate.

It´s really a stunning dial.

I don't have a gauge, so I measured with a scalimeter. So not so accurate ...

Both (JF and R8F) wear extremely well, but I can notice how much more comfortable JF is.

Can someone point me in the right direction of someone who can service a tourbillon movement? I have a Lange 1815 tourbillon and as of a couple days ago ran into the following problem...crown no longer winds the watch from its normal closed position. No problem changing time, however...from the almost nothing I know, it doesn't seem too difficult a fix, but like I said, I know nothing.

Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

I’m looking at getting a 1815 tourbillon.

What are the options if they break down. Are there watchmakers in Europe who work on rep torbs or is it just dead.

I seem to remember someone explaining on here about it but for the life of me I can’t find it.

This is what I’m looking at - https://puretimewatch.io/saxonia-to...dition-white-dial-on-black-leather-strap.html

been admiring for a while but can’t bring myself to pull the trigger on something that could just become a paperweight in a few months
