For those of you that have multiple tourbys, how often do you wear each them and how long have they lasted (or are lasting) you? I only have one tourby currently and I wear it once a week, because Im scared to wear it more often lol. I want it to last a couple years at least. So Im thinking of buying more tourbys so I can one every day and give the others a rest lol. But there is no fact in this logic only fear.

Its not an inherently unstable movement, theres not a lot to worry about. Its not like the 7750’s that explode if you press the wrong button. But at the same time its a tourbillon, the whole point is to be a special watch. If you start wearing them every day, whats your special occasion watch then?

its been said before but ill say it again, they’re generally pretty reliable. Ive got 5 tourbillons, never had an issue with any of them. Whats the worst that can happen anyway? Its the same as 2 cheaper reps breaking should anything go wrong. There’s never been a better time to be into tourbillon reps.

I second this. I have two and planning to add more to the herd. There is a tourbillon movement thread somewhere which you might find very informative. Most of those reps use the tourbillon engineered and build by Tianjin SeaGull. It is a workhorse, well build by a reputable company and much more reliable than all those low end Asian clones full of dust and pubes you find in rep Rolex watches.

Great question. Only thing that stops me picking up my royal oak tourbillon more often is the thickness (around 12mm, not an ro factory). Ive taken it apart and looked for places to slim but there isnt a lot of possibilities.

Oh i see. The JF tourbillon is maybe thinner, 11mm? Unfortunately they dont make it with the purple dial.
