Has anyone in the forum experieced any issues with this watch - ETA Movement. When I first purchased I could not the movement working and the bracelet required work to clasp properly. I then took the watch to a rolex specialist to get the movement working. The gentleman told me the movement was rusted and that I would not get much use of it - I believe this was back in January or February. A month ago something broke in the movement again. I can hear it shaking and my rolex guy is out of business. The movement turns but I can not wear the watch with the loud shake it gives off.

Any suggestions on where to go with this? Could anyone tell me what the problem might be? Could I fix this myself? Should I go back to Daytona since the movement was rusted from the beginning? Any thoughts would be great!

Would be nice if I could just aford the real deal! I love the way this watch looks and have received a ton of comments.

Best bet would be to send the dealer an e-mail and see what he says. But, as I recall his warranty is for DOA only. And since it has been since Jan or Feb, you may be stuck. Good luck with this...maybe he will sell you another movement at a discount. You probably should have sent it back when you first learned of the movement problems.

as for the watch..
As I have sold dozens and dozens of these, I have only had 1 report of "rust"...
What it sounds like is that your rotor has simply become loose. all you have to do is take the case back off and take your standard small screw driver and screw it back into place.

Daytona, was that complaint of rust mine? If you recall, you told me just to have the watch serviced. I asked if it should have been sent back to you and you declined. If this is something you would typically replace/or handle differently then I would like to discuss with you.

This is all my fault! I contact Greg with the wrong email address. Once I contact him with the correct email address, he response right away, and send me the replacement the next day. He even let me pay the different and upgrade to the ETA version. I just got the watch today, and it is a beautiful watch. I'm sure I'll buy again, and only buy from Greg.
